"We have a problem" A woman in her mid twenties, calls to her husband, who was immersed on his playstation.
"No, YOU have a problem. I only have the creature creating it" He told, not moving his eyes from the screen.
"Konjam naa sollaratha kekkaringala?"
"Hmm sollu"
"I think I just dropped your phone inside the toilet" Sivaangi admitted guiltily.
"WHAT?!"
"Sorry!"
"What the hell were you doing with a phone in the toilet? Adhuvum en phone oda?"
"I was tweeting from your profile. Veliya panna kandu pidichuruva nu ulla poi pannen"
"Yen ennoda profile lerndhu tweet panra?"
"Fans ellarum kanju poi kedakkanga. Unga profile lerndhu edhavadhu content kedacha urutti velayaduvanga, adhaan"
Ashwin let out a sigh, trying to not let the anger get to him.
"Maa, pudhu phone maa!"
"Parava illa don't worry, naa ongalukku pudhu phone vaangi tharen."
"Illa! You bought this for my birthday last month! Athu epdi paravala nu solluva?"
Sivaangi did not reply, instead she just kept looking at the man child in front of her. He could be the most matured person one minute and the next, he would act like a child, whining about something as simple as overcooked pasta.
"Maa I'm talking to you. Pay attention!"
"Ashwiney, I bought that phone for you, I will buy the same model, same cover also, if you would want that. Enna thittadeenga"
"No I don't want another phone, try to get this phone fixed maa please!"
"Ashwin, just look at it! It is soaked. I will get you a new phone before tonight."
"Okay fine. But don't expect me to talk to you."
He walked away, leaving Sivaangi alone in the room. She sighed, took her purse, looked at her reflection in the mirror and once she corrected her hair in a presentable way, she walked out of the room to find Ashwin back onto the couch, only his long fingers moving quickly on the joy stick and eyes intense.
She walked up to him, pecked his lips, and upon feeling him go stiff, she said, "Naa poi phone vaangittu varen. Bye Ashwineyy"
"Bye" he said, gulping.
***
"Ashwineyy! Naa vandhutten!"
She came in to find her man still on the couch, eyes still intensely fixed onto the screen, in the same position he was 3 hours ago.
She gasped.
"Innuma inga okkandhu irukkinga? It's been 3 hours!"
"You left me hanging, what did you expect me to be doing. I waited an hour for you to return, you didn't. Don't talk to me." He continued his game.
"Inga paarunga, I bought you a new phone. I exchanged the other and bought this. Pudichu irukka??" (Idk if they will exchange a watery phone 😬)
He didn't reply, he completely ignored her. She sighed for what seemed like the hundredth time that day, went to him and sat on his lap.
"Enna panra?" He asked, gulping.
"Sorry"
"Ethukku?"
"Phone ah thannila potadhukku"
"Okay"
"Pch. You're still angry"
He stayed silent.
"Ippo naa apdi yenna panniten? Phone thaan replace panniten la, why are you still angry?"
"Don't you realise? You left me all alone, while you happily went out, did shopping and did all the fun things you wanted to, while I was here, waiting for you. Do you know how miserable I was?"
Sivaangi laughed at the valarntha kolanthai in front of her.
"Enna Devdas maara polamba vittutu onakku enna sirippu?"
"Ashwineyy you are too dramatic sometimes"
"Nee solluva di solluva. Ippo en madi lerndhu ezhudiripiya maatiya?"
"Maaten"
"I have to complete this level"
"I am gonna gag if I see the logo of Fifa again. Evalo tharava athaye velayaaduva? I liked Mortal Kombat more"
"Just because you learnt it quicker that Fifa"
"No"
"Just keep quiet, will you?"
"Make me"
And he did, with his mouth.
The planet rotating beneath them seemed to stop its endless cycle, and the infinite universe of worlds clashed as the space between them suddenly ceased to exist. Time stopped in its tracks. There was nothing left on Earth, or in the entire universe for that matter. The stars imploded and the sun shone brighter than ever. Except for the two of them, nothing else mattered.
