Chapter [22]

Author's pov; 

"Where is my little bubble?" A deep and cheerful voice boomed inside the house. 

Yoongi rose from the sofa and bowed to greet his father. "Welcome, dad." His father smiled softly and went to hug him. 

"Where are Jiminie, Hobi, and my little one?" Mr.Kim asked as he pulled away, eyes roaming around the living room. 

"Jiminie hasn't come yet, dad and Hobi got a call from his work." 

"And Taehyung?" 

Yoongi's shoulders tense as a lump formed in his throat that he hardly gulped down and answered a lie, "He is in his friend's house for a sleepover, left this morning."  

Mr. Kim frowned, "Which friend?" He unbuttoned a few buttons of his grey shirt while walking to his usual sitting place, the armchair placed near the window and bookshelf in the corner of the living room. "Hye-Hyeri, dad"

"Hyeri? Who is that? We don't have anyone with this name, do we?" 

Panic rushed Yoongi as he blurted out, "She is an omega from East." 

"From the East pack? I didn't know he had friends in Eastern pack." Mr. Kim said, his frown deepening into suspicion which Yoongi could see and gulped. 

"Anyways." Mr. Kim looked at him, "It's good though. Eastern Packs are the wealthiest and kindest packs than Southern and Northern packs. So it is good to have a bond with even one of their pack. And our Tae being the sweetest and fluffiest being, everyone will fall in love with him." He smiled. 

And Yoongi's tensed shoulder relaxed as he sported a small smile and whispered, "Yeah."

Jungkook never made a single point out of his father even after telling everything about his family, pack, and the tragedy happening to them. His father was still unknown to Taehyung. It's not like he can't wait but he was curious as to why Jungkook never mentioned his father. He wanted to ask so badly but the fear of somehow hurting his alpha was pulling him back. Taehyung never wanted to hurt him. 

"Careful, pretty!" 

Taehyung looked at the main door to see a worried Jungkook rushing to the living room where he had been trying to walk a little bit. 

In some seconds, Jungkook was by his side, a hand hovered over his waist and the other holding his palms, in a secure grip. 

"Didn't I tell you to not get out of bed?" Jungkook muttered a scold which seemed more like a whine. Taehyung sighed, "But handsome alpha, I feel weak staying on the bed. I need fresh air."  

"Whatever the reason, your ankle hasn't recovered yet." Jungkook took him to the sofa and sat him down, before smiling, "I'll go in the kitchen to make snacks, till then, do not move." The true blood pointed a finger while threatening the omega who huffed in defeat and cutely glared at him with a pout. 

Jungkook leaned down and kissed his crown head then left him alone there. Taehyung sighed again before a tiny smile flashed across his face, eyes glinting with happiness. 

He glanced at the true blood who was humming and making snacks. He felt delighted, heart steadily beating inside his chest as he watched him. There was a bright glow on Jungkook's face with an eye-blinding bunny smile on display. And Taehyung couldn't help but admire him. 

Jungkook was the strongest person he had ever met. Losing his family and pack in such a cruel way but he was still going on in his life, he stood up on his feet, didn't let the past affect his future, and became what he was today. Despite being known as a beast, a deadly threat for others, Jungkook had been providing all packs three times food when he could threaten anyone and get what he wants but he considered others too. Taehyung respected and admired him for that.
