Chapter 14

Dean and Max followed Delilah and Knight around to all of their morning classes. Each time they entered a new class Knight would leave Delilah in her seat and then go up to the teacher and explain who Dean and Max were. Only one teacher tried to argue but when Knight showed them a letter from his Dad they quickly stopped fighting.

They were now entering the cafeteria Dean in front and Max following behind. She felt a little silly as they scanned the cafeteria, what did they think could possibly happen in a school lunch room. Delilah was waiting for them to finish looking when she saw Eva and immediately broke out of the group to go sit with her friend.

"Hi Eva, how was your morning?" Delilah asked taking a seat.

"Good, I see you finally ditched your boyfriend and his hot friends?" Eva asked.

"What no-" Delilah turned her head and noticed that Knight had not followed her over like she thought he would and instead was scanning the room looking panicked. She called his name and waived him over. He started running when he made eye contact.

"Baby, you can't run away from us like that, you almost gave me a heart attack. You have to let Dean and Max clear a room before you go in." Knight said as he scooped Delilah up and sat down with her in his lap.

"Sorry, I thought you saw me. I saw Eva so I came over to sit down." Delilah responded not wanting Knight to be mad at her.

"Don't worry Goldie you did nothing wrong your boyfriend is just crazy, it's a good thing he's hot." Eva stated. Delilah giggled in agreement but couldn't help but notice that Dean seemed mad when she mentioned Knight looking hot.

Apparently Eva didn't miss it either because she threw an arm around his shoulder and said "Don't worry Deany I'm sure you'd be hot too if your face didn't look so hard all the time."

Suddenly Dean smiled for the first time and leaned closer to Eva. "Why don't you spend the night with me and I can show you how hard I can be."

"Nice try handsome but your gonna have to do a little more before you get me in your bed." Eva responded. Dean looked like he was about to speak again when Delilah jumped in.

"Wait, you guys are planning a sleepover? I've never been to one of those can I come?!" She asked excitedly.

Eva burst out laughing "Goldie I think the two of us having a sleepover with Dean would get him killed by your man." She said between giggles.

"Yeah over my dead body, but you and Eva can have a sleepover whenever you want at our place." Knight said directing his last comment at Delilah.

Delilah let out a happy cheer excited at the prospect of her first sleepover. "Yes! Eva will you come over this weekend?" Delilah asked.

"Of course I will Goldie, just let me know when." Eva responded, she wouldn't have turned down the excited girl even if she did have plans but she happened to be free.

The rest of lunch was spent with Delilah planning their sleepover while asking everyone what people usually do at sleepovers.

It was finally Friday night and Delilah was bouncing around getting ready for her first sleepover. She had been planning this with Eva all week.

"You know when I offered to let Eva come over I thought she would be the one staying in a different room." Knight muttered from his spot on the bed.

"I told you Eva and I want this to be a girls night, that means no boys allowed." Delilah argued back.

"I don't like being away from you, what if something happens?" Knight asked warily.
