Beam POV
"And there I was thinking that you missed me!" P'Phupha explained.
I was getting confused on what was happening. Phupha saw this and started to explain.
"You see, when it's my birthday, normally I'll only get a greeting card from Forth. The last time that he gave me a gift or at least visited me was before his biological father took him to the Middle East a year before I entered college. That's why I was surprised when Anita informed me that he was coming. I wasn't even aware that he was close with her." Phi explained but it still doesn't makes sense. I still couldn't see the connection to me.
"You see, we don't share the same dad. We're half-siblings from the same mother. And because both our fathers are still alive, we can't really stay in one house." P'Phupha added which made my jaw dropped.
"Y-you guys are b-brothers?!" My mother and I exclaimed in unison.
"What did you think? We were lovers?" Forth fired back at me.
The brothers looked at each other then Mama and I nodded at the same time.
"EWWWWW!!!"
"YUUUUUCKKK!!! BREH!" The siblings reacted in disgust.
"You don't know that we're siblings?" Phi asked me.
"Ugh... duh?"
"And you didn't tell Anita?" Phi then asked Forth.
"How the hell would I know that they didn't know? You're their friend, why are you asking me?" Forth answered. They turned to me at the same time.
"Why would I even date him?" They said in unison while pointing at each other. They were like B1 & B2, just both dark-skinned, handsome, and hot.
T/N: B1 & B2 are the lead characters of Bananas in Pajamas, a children show in the 90s. It was a hit here in PH when I was a kid. I remember Divisoria being filled with plush toys featuring the characters from the show.
"How the hell would I know that you're both not into each other?" I quipped.
"Again. Eww." Forth replied.
"Son, you handle things here. My brain can't take it anymore." Mama suddenly said and left the room. Ugh! My mother really has the penchant for showstopping scenes. She even beat me in walking out first.
"I'm getting out of here as well. You guys settle this among yourselves." P'Phupha stated and tailed my mother out, leaving Forth and me alone in the room.
"So are you going to explain to me or we'll just stare at each other here? You still have flight to catch, you know!" I opened the conversation.
The jerk suddenly became serious. "Do you really want me to leave?"
"I don't have the right to stop you."
"Do you want to have the right?" He asked back in a serious tone. He sighed and started his story. "I saw your picture once. My phi chai had his arm around you. Weird as it sounds, I thought he found you for me. Because I knew, even though I was against it, that he was deeply in love with your ex. I started checking your profile once in a while. Fine, call me a stalker but that's just how it went. I wanted to talk to you but I figured it would be better in person. That's why when Anita told me to go home for phi's 25th birthday, I sneakily asked if who will be coming to the party. And she mentioned that you will be there too. So I took the chance."
"You rarely post anything but when you do, it always feels like it comes from the heart. Simple things like your likes, your ambitions, those were the things I see from your posts. I knew that it can all be just a post and nothing more but I just couldn't help but believe that you're really like that in real life. That's why when I had a chance, I sneakily ask things about you from Anita and P'Phupha. They never noticed anything beyond it though." He added.
