1 Year Later: It has been two years since everything happened and the girls are now four years old. Taryn started asking if we were going to move into the house and out of our small place here on the island. I don't know what to tell them, because part of me wants to move back in there but the other part of me is saying don't do it.

Today the girls were going to start attending fighting lessons with Valkyrie, but because of their age, Valkyrie told me I should be there in case something should go wrong. As I stood back, watching my daughters learning something new, I thought about how proud their mother would be if she could see them now. "Taryn, Lily, what do you think about learning to fight?" I heard Valkyrie ask the girls.

"We're ready!" I smirked at my princesses' excitement and walked over to my girls.

"Loki, would you mind helping me here? You are their father after all."

"Sure I can." I stood next to Valkyrie as she explained everything to the girls. and paired them with each of us. I worked with Taryn and she worked with Lily. "Are you ready sweetheart?" I asked, receiving a nod from my child. "Okay. Now watch me and do exactly what I do." Taryn nodded and did what she was told.

We trained with them for only a little while and had some lunch afterwards. "I'm tired, daddy." Taryn said, taking a bite of her apple.

"Me too, daddy. Valkyrie tired me out." Lily said with a smile on her face.

"Well that's good. Now, how about we pack our bags and get ready to move into your mother's house?" The girls shook their heads and finished their lunch as fast as they could.

Once they did finish, they took off running down the dirt path leading toward our little cottage. I chuckled at the sight in front of me and caught up with my daughters.

Once we stepped inside the tiny cottage, the girls ran to pack their bags and I went to get ready to leave as well.

After mere hours of packing bags and boxes, my daughters and I were ready to go back to Manhattan. "Daddy, are you sure mommy is going to meet us at the house?" Lily asked while I whisked us away, and when we set foot in the old house, I answered her.

"Well, my sweet daughter, I'm not sure. Maybe your mother is still on her trip." When I saw the heartache in her eyes, I pulled her close and held her tight. Taryn came over and hugged Lily as well. I could tell that it hurt Taryn to see Lily hurting the way she was, but there was nothing I could do except comfort my young daughter.

We have now been in the house a week and the girls are sleeping in my old chambers while I slept in another. As the night went on, both of the girls came running into the room. "Daddy, daddy!" They jumped in bed with me and clung tight.

"What is it, my princesses?" I asked as the two of them coward under the blankets.

"There's a monster in our room, Daddy." Chuckling at my daughters, I started singing to them.

"Men trærne de danser, Og fossene stanser, Når hun synger, hun synger. Kom hjem Men trærne de danser Og fossene stanser, When she sings she sings come home, When she sings she sings come home. Men trærne de danser, Og fossene stanser Når hun synger, hun synger Kom hjem Men trærne de danser. Og fossene stanser, When she sings she sings come home, When she sings she sings come home, When she sings she sings come home, When she sings she sings come home. I stormsvarte fjell jeg vandrer alene, Over isbreen tar jeg meg frem I eplehagen står møyen den vene, Og synger: når kommer du hjem?"

Once I finished the song, both of my princesses were asleep and comfortable. "Good night, my princesses." I closed my eyes and laid there with my daughters as they slept soundly.

1 Year Later: We've been in the house a year now and the girls like it there more than they did in New Asgard. Today they started their first day of kindergarten. Let me just say I'm glad that Piper told me how the Midgardian schools work so I know what is going on now. I got to the school and noticed a young girl about Piper's age taking the children into the big building. "Daddy is that mommy?" Lily asked me as she pulled on my suit sleeve.

"No, princess. Your mother is still on her trip, remember? Now, go be good girls and have an amazing day." I hugged them tight and kissed their cheeks.

"Okay, Daddy. Love you!" My girls ran off and waved over their shoulders. I stood there watching them run off to meet children their own age and make new friends, but I wish that they could have made friends in New Asgard only because they would be around people like them. Children that would be learning the same things and knowing the fact that we, gods, are real. I do not want them to be the joke of their school. I know they will be just fine, but I still worry for them, but I'm glad I had Valkyrie show them a few things before they started school.

While the girls were at school, I went to see my brother for a little while, but upon arriving in New Asgard, I wondered what my daughters were doing right this minute. It's obviously none of my business and I shouldn't go back to spy on them, but they are mine and if anything happened to them, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. Without another thought, I whisked myself back to Manhattan and went to keep an eye on my daughters.

Once I arrived back in Manhattan, and at my daughters' school, they were in a completely different room with an older man who seemed to be yelling at them. I stormed inside to see what the problem was.

Kicking in the door, I walked into the room and the only word for what I am feeling is furious. "What is going on here!?" I asked, grabbing my daughters' hands.

"You must be Taryn and Lily's father. I'm Mr. Dutton, the school's principal." The man reached his hand to shake mine, but I just glared at him.

"Why were you just screaming at my daughters, Dutton?" With my daughters behind my legs, I stepped closer to him.

"Well, sir, your daughters were hitting multiple other children over some silly little toy." I nodded my head slowly, turned around, and knelt down to look at my princesses.

"Taryn, Lily, what happened?" I asked as calmly as I could even though I was full of rage.

"Well, daddy, Taryn and me were playing with some dolls during play time and this other girl named Bridgette came over and took the dolls from us." Lily said, nudging her sister's shoulder.

"Yeah, daddy. Then Lily and me asked her to give the dolls back and she said no. We said please and everything, daddy, but she kept saying no, so we took it back." Taryn said, looking at me with sad eyes.

Standing up, I turned back around and looked the principal in his eyes. "My daughters are telling me they just took a toy back. What evidence do you have that these sweet little girls hit other children?" I asked, grabbing my daughters' hands again. Dutton stayed silent and looked at the three of us blankly. "That's what I thought. We are leaving princesses."

After we got back home, my daughters had some lunch and went to lay down for the rest of the afternoon.
