It's now been four years since everything happened and the girls are now six years old. They started their first day of first grade today and they said they had a good day, but I know that's not true. "Taryn, what's wrong, princess?" My girls walked home today since I had some business to take care of with my brother. They don't always walk home, but if I have things to take care of then they can either ride the bus or walk. They prefer to walk, I think.

"Oh, nothing, daddy. I have some homework I need to finish before we eat. Can I do it in momma's old chambers?" I nodded and Lily joined me in the kitchen.

"Princess, is everything ok with your sister?" Lily said nothing. She just handed me a notebook that her sister had given her. As I reached out to take it, she gave me a look. "I'm not going to look at it." I said, grabbing the notebook from her hand.

"Sure you're not daddy. Don't tell Ryn I gave it to you. She wouldn't be happy." I winked at Lily and she ran off to do her homework as well. I opened it and started scanning the pages. I flipped and flipped the pages before landing on one that caught my eye. I ran my fingers over the pen ink and as my finger tips traced the page, I became startled by what I saw. On the page was a picture, drawn by Taryn, of her playing hide and seek with some other kids. That was not the weird part. The weird part was that she crossed herself out of the picture scene and drew herself off to the side without any other children around. I had to know what happened the day she drew it.

Taryn!" My young daughter poked her head out of her mother's chambers.

"Yes, daddy?"

"Can You come here real quick?" I heard footsteps coming closer and then I saw her.

"What happened here?" I asked, pointing to the picture in the notebook.

"Daddy, how did you get my notebook?" She asked, pointing to it as well.

"That's not important right now. What is important is why you drew this picture of you teleporting away from other children." Taryn started tearing up, and I pulled her close. "Princess, what happened at school today?" She took a deep breath and started talking.

"Daddy, I was playing with some of my friends at school and I closed my eyes for a second. I opened my eyes and I was standing next to the tree. I don't know what happened, Daddy." I sighed and told her to call her sister.

"I'm coming, Daddy." When Lily arrived, I had both girls take a seat and I would explain everything to them.

"Now girls, your father is what some midgardians, I mean people here in Manhattan, would call a god. That means I can never die." Their eyes got wider and wider the more I kept talking. "Also, I can give you anything you ever wanted." Taryn's eyes lit up.

"Really, daddy? Can you make fireworks appear?" I smiled and nodded. Opening my hand both my daughters looked on in excitement as the small bursts of light came out of my hand. "Of course I can, my sweet princess. Now, where I'm going with this is, because father can do magic, so can you."

"Really?" Lily smiled and bounced up and down with joy.

"Yes, now Taryn, you and your sister can both teleport, which is what happened while you were playing today, hypnotise others, and conjure things. Besides that, Taryn, you can also levitate and shape-shift."

"What does all that mean, daddy?" Taryn asked. I thought for a second, trying to figure out how to explain this on her level.

"Well, darling, levitating is when you can float in the air, but not exactly flying. Let me show you." Within seconds, I was in the air and my daughters were in awe. "That's what levitating is my sweet Taryn, and shape-shifting is where you can become anything you want. Hypnosis is where you can control others' minds, and conjuring is being able to make things appear out of thin air. Now Lily, along with teleporting, conjuring, and hypnosis, you have something called cryokinesis, which means you can make snow and you can make it really cold if you want, and you have something called astral projection." She looked at me confused before I could even finish my statement. "I'm getting there, darling. Astral projection is where you can make more than one of yourself. Like this." Showing my girls what their powers look like made me smile. The look of excitement on their faces made me happy. "Now, when you go to school tomorrow, you can be proud of who you are, darlings, and always remember that your father loves you very dearly and would do anything to protect you." I hugged them and kissed their temples before making them a snack and sending them back to do their homework.

1 Year Later: The day I would remember for the rest of my life - I sat in the old abandoned house that the girls and I have been staying in for about two years. They've been in second grade for almost a month now and they seem to like it. I talked with Taryn and Lily about their heritage and where I came from, and they were very intrigued by it. Taryn more than Lily, but today they both came home in tears. "My princesses, what's wrong?" I wrapped my girls in my arms and sat on the ground with them.

"The other kids were making fun of us, daddy." Lily said with her head buried in my shoulder.

"What do you mean?" I asked once more, lifting my girls' chins so they now looked in my eyes.

"Well, daddy, today at school when the teacher asked us where our families are from, Taryn and I raised our hands." Lily said, tears still running down her cheek.

"Then what happened?" I asked, reaching up to dry them.

"Then Lily said, 'our daddy is a prince from Asgard and our mommy is from here.'' Taryn said proudly, with tears still running down her cheeks.

"That's when the other kids started laughing at us and our teacher told us that we shouldn't make up stories and we always need to tell the truth." My girls clung to me tightly and I held them close.

"What else did you tell them about daddy?" I asked curiously.

"Well, I said that you can make things appear, like a magician, and that you can float in the air." Taryn replied with a grin on her face. I smirked and Lily straightened up, drying her tears.

"We have a lot of homework to do, daddy. Can we do it in mommy's chambers again?"

"Yes you can, my princess. Now do not touch-."

"Anything so that mommy has everything when she comes back from her trip." Taryn finished for me. I nodded and they stood up, grabbed their backpacks and headed off to do their work. That's when I heard the front door open.
