Yes I found out about this late. I'm gonna try to catch up. Enjoy :)
"Oh come on! Please?"
Catra looked up from her book. She was met with Adora, Glimmer, Bow and Scorpia, standing at the foot of the bed, all wearing puppy dog eyes. Catra blinked at them, her facial expression not budging from its flat and blank look.
"It's so much fun." Bow promised. "There are games and food and events to do."
Catra looked back at her book. She suddenly had Adora sprawled on her lap, pouting. Catra lifted her arms, keeping the book out of danger.
"Are you serious?!" She said, giving Adora an annoyed look. "I thought I was supposed to be the annoying one."
Adora had their faces close enough to each other that her pouting bottom lip almost touched Catra. Her blue eyes seemed to shine.
"Please. I really wanna go with you. It was so much fun last year, so I want you to experience this with us. It wouldn't be the same without you, baby."
Catra really couldn't deny Adora when she said she wanted something. After a lifetime was only catering to what everyone else wanted, Catra took everyone chance to encourage her to be vocal about her wants. So, if she wanted to spend time at a stupid event, then who was Catra to deny her. Groaning, Catra leaned her head back.
"Whatever. This better be good." She conceded.
Cheers erupted from the others. Adora gave Catra a big kiss on the cheek as a thank you.
She climbed off the bed, smiling like an idiot.
Catra laughed when Adora tripped on the blanket and fell."Man, this thing is off to a great start, huh, D'ora?"
"Shut up!"
———————————This didn't look too bad. A town in Erelandia was decked out in decorations of orange and black. The decor was fake spider webs and things called pumpkins everywhere. There were mostly large groups of people and families with kids attending. The temperature was cool, so Catra was glad to have stolen one of Adora's jackets. The sun was low in the sky, which made it all look even better.
The booths either had food or some type of activity. Before entering, they purchased tickets, which were just small, rectangular shaped pieces of colored paper. They were each given a certain number of tickets. Now explained what they were for.
The group went around, Catra getting a look at the fair. The smell of warm food and the sound of laughter filled the air. People walked to and fro, Catra catching chunks of words from others. There was so much movement and sound and smells. It was exciting. The first booth they did was a water gun game. This was a great way to get Catra into the spirit of fun. She, Adora, Bow, and Glimmer competed against each other. Catra, having the best aim, won that one. She's won a stuffed animal of her pick.
She glanced around, looking at the variety. She spotted a colorful horse. It reminded her of Adora's annoying talking horse, Swift Wind. Adora would probably like that.
"That stupid looking horse."
The booth guy didn't say anything and got the chosen item, handing it to her.
"Enjoy." He said with a dead tone, but a fake smile on his face.
Poor guy.
The four walked away. Once far enough, Catra shoved the horse at Adora. Adora paused, taking the stuffed animal. She seemed shocked and confused.
"Uh, thanks?" She said.
Catra blushed, looking away.
"It looked like your dumb horse friend, so I thought you'd want it or whatever. You're welcome, by the way."
Catra glanced at Adora. Adora had the brightest smile on her face. She squished the thing in her arms.
"I love it."
Catra yelped when she too was tightly hugged, a sloppy kiss pressed to her cheek.
"Thank you, Catra! You're the sweetest!"
Catra's blush deepened, realizing their friends were watching.
"Whatever. Literally, don't mention it. Let's just move on to the next game or whatever."
Adora pulled away from the hug, still beaming. She linked their hands together, and the group continued on. They went around, playing every game and trying every snack booth they came across. Catra liked the caramel apples. Though, she didn't enjoy getting caramel on her fur.
She'd decided to annoy Glimmer by licking the caramel off of the fur, while staring directly into Glimmer's eyes. Adora lightly scolded her for it. Catra then did it to Adora, making sure to go slower. The sun had gone down, but Catra didn't need it in order to know that Adora was blushing.
After eating, they continued on playing games. One caught Adora's attention. She pointed it out to the rest of the group. It was a game to see how hard you could punch the punching bag, the number meter next to it.
"Don't break it." Catra warned, knowing how strong Adora could be without trying.
Adora smirked, cracking her knuckles. Approaching the booth, she gave the proper amount of tickets before getting into position, the punching bag in front of her. She gave it a good shot. The punching bag swung up pretty high. The digital force counter number rapidly went up. It stopped at a 589. The person managing the booth was surprised.
"That's almost the force limit." They informed them. "You've got some serious muscle on you, your highness."
Adora laughed embarrassed at the praise.
"Thanks. Guess my work outs paid off." She commented.
The booth manager motioned to the array of prizes to choose from.
"Pick one you like." They said.
Adora looked around. She spotted a large red tiger. She pointed at that. The person handed it to her. Adora thanked her. She turned to Catra, a cheeky smile on her face, holding out the stuffed tiger.
"Here." She said, handing it to her girlfriend.
Catra was taken by surprise. She took the large item, looking it over. She felt a strong emotion in her chest. Adora had gotten something for her. Intentionally. Catra smiled softly, looking at Adora, who was still staring at her. Catra purred happily.
"Thanks, dummy. You didn't have to."
Adora wrapped an arm around Catra's waist. She pecked the magicat on the lips.
"I wanted to. It reminded me of you. I'm guessing from your purring, you like it?"
Catra giggled.
"Yeah. I like it."
"Come on, love birds." Glimmer giggled. "Let's go. I want Catra to try a corn dog."
Catra and Adora followed their friends, the two glued at the hip, their prizes in arm. Catra decided that she liked the fair. She was glad she came.
So yeah. Lemme know your thoughts :)
