Forever and Always

Chapter 33

      Clara took deep breaths, trying to keep herself from going into shock, but every breath she took, it caused pain to shoot throughout her body. She looked around as far as she could, but all she could see were feet and corpses around her.

        "Bucky," she called out to him weakly. She dropped her head back down. Her breathing picked up. She wasn't sure what to do. She couldn't take it out because she didn't have the range of motion to do so. If she changed back, that would be fatal, and if she got someone else to take it out, she would bleed out. I'm in deep shit. However, a little sense of hope washed over her when she saw a pair of boots walk up to her. She tried to look up to see who it was, but she couldn't see the face.

          "Help..." she wheezed. "Please, help me. I can't fix this by myself." The boots just stood there. Clara asked again. "Please, I don't know what to do." After another moment, the boots moved, and a moment later she felt pressure on the wounded site from the person grabbing the handle. Clara let out a small grunt from the sudden pain, but she was also relieved that she had help just at the right moment. She flicked her tail up and down, waiting for the person to do something to help.

However, a sudden twisting movement of the spear in her side had caused Clara to let out a loud yelp. The pain was nothing like she's felt before. It felt as if the spear was blending up her organs until it would become mush. The pain was excruciating, and Clara felt as if she was gonna pass out then and there from the pain. She writhed around on the ground, and her senses had all started to blur together. She saw stars, and it sounded as if she was underwater. The twisting didn't stop, either. The person kept going.

"STOP!! PLEASE, I BEG YOU!!" Clara howled and screamed, sobbing. "PLEASE STOP! IT HURTS! STOP IT! STOP!" Clara's voice cracked on the last "stop", and finally the twisting stop. She dropped her head back on the dirt, and though her senses were coming back, her breaths were getting more shallow. Tears had rolled down her snout and started to create mud underneath her. Her jaw was open as she tried to get enough air. She whined quietly as the boots came up to her, and when the person squatted down, she realized that she was screwed.

Inches from her face, glaring down at her, was a man...no an alien. He had a long, almost oval-shaped face, and wrinkles. His skin was a pale, sickly green, and his eyes were black and beady. His fingers were long and narrow, with sharp fingernails, and his ears were pointed like tips of knives. Clara recognized this one as one of the Black Order. The alien looked down on her, and she stared up at him through the corners of her eyes. Her vision was blurry more from tears now, but she blinked them away. Her chest was rising and falling rapidly.

"Hmmmm..." the alien raised his skinny hand and gently placed it under her head. Gently, he raised her head off the ground and supported it. "You were the one who killed my sibling." His voice was deep and raspy.Clara took a rapid breaths, trying to inhale enough air. She could feel some blood seeping out of the wound, causing her fur to clump up.

"Sh...she gave me no choice. She was...g...going to...k...k...kill my teammate." The alien just stared down at her, examining her. Then, he aggressively took his hand and wrapped it around her snout so she couldn't open her mouth.

"Well...guess it'll have to be a teammate for a teammate." Knowing exactly what he meant, Clara widened her eyes, and her legs twitched a bit as if she wanted to run away. She thrusted her head around, but he kept it still.

"Shhh...I'm helping you, like you wanted. I'm going to end your suffering. The pain you are feeling now will no where compare to what Thanos, our father, will wreak on you pathetic humans. Im doing you a favor." He released his grip, causing Clara to drop her head back on the ground with a thud. Clara closed her eyes and whimpered.
