Chapter 1 - Side Character

Side Character. A character in a book or movie that is associated with the main character's story. However, in this day and age, a side character is known to fit into real life, being an ordinary and basic person, not fitting into the 'perfect' role of called main characters.

This can be in many ways, personality, style and even looks, the only 'interesting' characteristic about them is something that they are known for, being smart or creative or just being stupid.

It's probably the only thing that makes them a side character rather than ordinary, besides being linked to the main character, for example being their friend or enemy even.

But. . . I'm neither of those, I don't have any sort of connections with the main characters, I'm just simply an unknown figure, somebody that nobody knows about, somebody... who isn't even involved with the original plotline.

"Hello! My name is Fukuda Akemi! I was born on the 27th of April, and I am 15 years old! My hobbies are writing songs and singing! I'm not really into sports because I have very low stamina, I love cats and comfy clothes and I hate rainy days, reptiles, spicy food and---"

"Okay! That's enough for your introduction Fukuda - san..." My aunt glared at me with a smile on her face. Her name is Minaha Ono, who is a homeroom teacher of Class 1, First Years in Karasuno High.

"A-ah Sorry Auntie!" I said while bowing my head. Ah-------I did it! She told me not to call her that name when I'm in school, I'm gonna be dead meat...

"Auntie?" the students who were seated whispered, "Are they related?"

"Raise your head, Fukuda Akemi - san." Aunt Minaha spoke sternly.

As I slowly raised my head, I could see her smiling purely, "I'm really dead" I thought.

"I have something to talk to you about after this class", she beamed, "Now go sit behind Masumi."

I saw a girl with brown hair raising her hand, and I headed towards her. I took a seat behind her desk and observed the whole classroom I'm currently in right now.

It felt real... The texture of the surface I am touching now, the people I see moving, the voices that are talking, and even the coolness of the wind that is from the window right next to me. This doesn't feel like fiction anymore, this doesn't feel like an anime, but real life...

My real name is Ember Clarke, a 17-year-old college student with brown hair and cole-like black eyes, right at this moment, I am possessing the body of a 15-year-old high schooler, Akemi Fukuda, which is just plainly a side character in the Haikyuu universe, the niece of Hinata and Kageyama's homeroom teacher, Minaha Ono.

How do I know that I am in the Haikyuu universe? Well, since I was in elementary, I have been a huge fan of the anime Haikyuu. Buying mangas, merch, cosplay costumes, and many more related to the show was one hobby of mine. Drawing Fanarts and reading fanfiction was also a part of it.

As I fell into that long hole the night before I woke up and found myself in a different world, I saw a huge blinding light at the end of that hollow pit that made me think that I was hallucinating, that's the main reason why I realized that I'll be dead in less than a minute and accepted my fate.

However, the first thing that I saw when I opened my eyes were two kids who had the same facial features watching me, they seemed like twins...

"Fukuda-san..." someone called in a faint voice.

"Fukuda -san!"

"Now this tone of voice seemed like the caller is angry." I whispered to myself, " Seems like I'm hallucinating too much"
