It was Rin texting me in discord. Today is my 16th Birthday, my second day in this suffocating hospital. I am expecting that nobody will ever visit me today since I told the Karasuno Volleyball club to practice for their match that will be held tomorrow.

"Who is texting you to make you smile like that?" my mother asked while putting the groceries she bought in groups.

"No one, really, just an online friend I met," I answered her back.

It was 7:43 in the morning and mom thought that there will be people visiting me, sadly I don't have that many connections.

We both heard the door click and saw three people entering; Emika, Sakura, and Valerie were here and they were all dressed up in casual clothes.

"Akemii-Chann" Sakura whined while hugging me, it's been quite a long time since I last saw three.

Valerie pulled Sakura away from me saying, "Sakura-senpai, please refrain from doing that, Akemi is sick"

Typical Valerie.

I giggled looking at them, both of them were still the same. I then felt a warm hand patting my head, I looked up and saw Emika-senpai.

"Are you alright Akemi?" she questioned concernedly.

I nodded, smiling, how I miss these three so much.

"Anyways, we are also here to greet you Akemi-chan" Valerie beamed, she signaled to both of her seniors and they sang.

"Happy Birthday to you~ 

Happy Birthday to you~ 

Happy Birthday Akemi~ 

Happy Birthday to You~~~"

I felt a smile creeping like a vine on my face,  it was slowly affecting every part of it until it latched on my cheeks, its rightful place.

"Thank you, to the three of you"

"That was a good bunch of friends that you have" mom stated looking out the window to see the three of them exiting the hospital together.

I smiled. They were really good seniors.

"I'll be gone for a while Akemi, I'll be going to the cake shop to buy you some cake for tonight," she added while preparing her bag, she pecked me with a kiss on my forehead, and then she went out of the hospital room.
