Both of them were smirking at me. What have I done wrong?
My whole body was freezing and my thoughts were running wild like cheetahs. If I could grasp at least one thought I was thinking, it would then slip away from my hands like how you hold water.
The only thing I could do was---
"Thank you for letting me borrow your shirt Osamu-san" I bowed to Osamu who was probably shocked right now.
I slowly raised my head and saw his face turn in different shades of pink until it finally stopped at red.
Light Pink. Salmon Pink. Rose Pink. Pink. Red.
"So that was what Kita used it for" he mumbled, hiding his face from our sight by covering it with his hands.
I felt a shiver down my spine, Atsumu was staring at me. I tried to avoid his intense staring since it was so sharp that it could even dice me to pieces.
"Should we start practicing now?" Atsumu smiled at us, he was holding a volleyball in his hands.
Both Me and Osamu nodded. It was a 1v1 game with Osamu and Atsumu switching every time.
I positioned myself on the opposite end to receive the ball. God knows when I will know to receive the ball properly without making it bounce in a different direction.
"Okay---I'm gonna throw the ball at you!" Atsumu beamed.
Is---he mad? What did I even do wrong?
As the ball was tossed in the air, I did a receive stance: knees bent, arms bent forward, eyes on the ball.
I was expecting for the ball to come to my arm, like an expected guest entering a home, but it was quite the opposite.
The ball went flying towards my face sending me down the floor. My nose was badly hit and as a second passed, blood came gushing out of it.
"Fukuda-san are you alright?" Osamu, who once was watching afar, came to my aid.
I could feel many eyes on me, luckily Kita wasn't here, because if he was, I'd be in the hospital right at this moment.
"Fukuda-san I'm sorry!" Atsumu ran towards me with a worried expression plastered on his face.
My nose's bridge hurted like hell, but the thing that I was most embarrassed about was myself.
How many times have I ruined my image when meeting these characters?
Alot.
I slowly stood up; eyesight fuzzy, headache present and a nosebleed.
"It's alright, let's continue" I smiled at them. They had expressions of shock and terror painted on their face once I stood up.
"No, Fukuda-san, let's head to the school's clinic" Atsumu chuckled nervously trying to usher me towards the gymnasium's front door
I shook my head telling him that I don't want to, since I was an outsider here in their school.
"Also, you could call me Akemi you know, erase the '-san'" I added while tying my shoelace which was now untied after tripping on it when I fell.
I grabbed a handkerchief that was in the pocket of my shorts and wiped the blood that I had.
"Now, should we continue?"
.
.
.
"I'm tired" I whined dropping my knees down the floor like heavy dumbbells. Sweat was dripping on all parts of my arms, legs and faces that I had no towel to wipe it on.
