Lycidas POV:

Standing in the foyer waiting on Olivia, I couldn't imagine my life without her. Her blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders, and her blue eyes looked at me with love and adoration. She is my saving grace, my angel sent from above. She made me want to be a better man, to change what I once was so that she could love me even more.

I planned the perfect date for her. I hoped. I wanted to take her on a dinner date rather than a movie, but Alexis told me to plan something more Olivia's style. So I went on a picnic in the garden by the waterfall I used to go to as a child. Lights streamed down the path, quickening the way for her to find me. I would wait there for her as I got her father's blessing to ask her to marry me. I waited all my life for a mate who understood me and accepted me for who I was and who I'd become just for her and our pups.

Olivia's POV:

With a smoky black eye and blonde hair curled down my shoulders, I stood before the mirror, not recognizing myself. I looked beautiful, standing in a yellow flowing dress. It formed my body down to my hips and then cascaded away, flowing downward, covering bland shoes.

I never thought I would give Lycidas a chance after what he did, but deep down, I knew he was a changed man.

Alexis told me to follow the lights as I walked out the front door. The air nipped at my shudders as I saw a path along the forest; twinkling lights cleared a path for me to walk effortlessly.

After walking for a few minutes, I could see Lycidas, with his back facing me, standing above a blanket laid out before him with a picnic basket in the middle. The lights twinkled around in a giant circle surrounding us.

I stood there with my mouth wide open in amazement. Lycidas turned around with a smile as he took in my dress. His eyes landed on mine as I walked closer to him. He pulled me into a hug, his lips pressed against mine. My breath hitched as he surprised me. My body moved effortlessly with his. He pulled away just as I was out of breath. My lips tingled, wanting to be touched by his again.

"Olivia, I've made food for us to enjoy. Two sandwiches with grapes and strawberries with cola. Might not be fancy, but it's special to me."

Lycidas always knew all the right things to say, but this evening just meant even more to me. It wasn't fancy, but I didn't care. He put effort into making it special.

As we sat down, we ate and talked about our childhood, mostly about him. He seemed filled with happiness until his mother passed away along with his father, leaving him on his own at sixteen.

After two hours of just talking and laughing, the air seemed to intensify with sexual need for one another. Our wolves are pleading for the mate bond to be complete. But as Lycidas stood up, taking my hand and leading me to the waterfall, I knew he had one more thing planned for the night. His eyes screamed with adoration and love as he looked me over again. Suddenly, the pack members gathered around with a candlelight as he knelt on one knee. I gasped and took a step back, tears threatening to spill.

"Olivia, for as long as I can remember, I've always wanted a mate to cherish and love for the rest of my life. You again gave me life's purpose and pulled me out of the darkness. You, my Luna, are my angel from heaven. Will you marry me?" Lycidas voice was laced with love and hopefulness as I stood before him, shocked. It felt like years before I could answer. He wiped the tears from my face after standing up and holding the ring toward me. It was dead silent as the pack members watched me closely.

"Yes."

Everyone shouted happily as Lycidas scooped me into his arms, twirling me around and continuously kissing my face. Tears spilled out of our eyes as he pushed the ring onto my finger, kissing my cheek again. He grabbed my hand and turned toward our pack.

With so much excitement and love in his voice, he screamed, "She said yes!"
