Maybe it was telling that Izuku felt little more than a light sprinkling of fear after being kidnapped. Perhaps the lack of fear came from the fact that the people who stood in front of him looked like nothing more than business people, angrily glaring at a delinquent for interrupting their lunch. Izuku knew that he could easily take them out without trying, but he didn't dare attempt to escape, not when danger sense was pinging in the back of his mind. There was something outside of the door that posed a great threat to him, and he wasn't keen on finding out what that was.
"Is there a reason that you've kidnapped me?" Izuku sighed heavily. He couldn't even say he was surprised, the League of Villians was bound to come after him through the Hero Safety Commission at some point.
"You're a danger to the good civilians who live out there. Not to mention, you were expelled from UA, therefore you were trespassing." one of the women in the room replied snootily, she glared imperiously at him down her long nose.
"I haven't done anything to be considered a danger to the general public, you're making stuff up," Izuku said monotonously, "Secondly, UA has custody of me, the withdrawal of custody was never fully carried out, therefore, you've just kidnapped me from my current legal guardian. Well done."
Izuku was tired, and when he was tired he got snarky. He had never been the perpetually sweet and innocent boy some people seemed to see him as, but his more passive-aggressive side seemed to rear its head whenever he was under stress or seriously lacking in the sleep department.
A few looks were exchanged amongst the business people, they looked nervous as if it was news to them that Izuku was legally a ward of UA still. They hadn't anticipated that UA would so blatantly go against their orders. At least, they viewed it that way. UA had, in fact, expelled Izuku, they simply hadn't ejected him from their premises.
"Never mind that," a man boomed, "You are now in the custody of the Hero Safety Commission, so you will follow everything we say!"
"After you've just kidnapped me? Sure, I'm going to be really cooperative." Izuku sneered sarcastically, "And, really, I'm not under the control of the Safety Commission, I'm under the control of the LOV. They made you do this, right?"
If the occupants of the room had looked surprised before, they looked positively gob-smacked after Izuku revealed that little piece of information. Panic and horror were the clear expressions that had cemented themselves onto all of their faces.
"How did you-" somebody started breathlessly, but before they could finish they were interrupted by the bang of the door being thrown open. From the brightly lit hallway, the ring-leader of the entire operation strutted in with confidence he had lacked when Izuku had first laid eyes on him.
Maybe Izuku hadn't been scared when he was confronted by a couple of suit-wearing adults, but he could feel the icy hands of fear slowly working up his spine at the scene that confronted him now. It was instinctual. He had been scared at the USJ and he was scared now.
"Well done, Midoriya Izuku," cackled Shigaraki, "You managed to use that brain of yours and draw a connection. The question now is, what do you think we're gonna do to you?"
"Shit, shit, shit!" Katsuki screamed as he paced the common room floor. All of his classmates sat on various surfaces around him wearing the same devastated and broken look as him.
"Please, sit down, bro." Kirishima pleaded, "We get that you're angry, but pacing won't get Midoriya back."
"Y'think I don't know that, asshole!" Katsuki growled venomously, "It's my fucking fault that he's gone. I was right there!"
