"We are almost done renovating, and should be taking guests within a week. We are just putting in the finishing touches as we speak! I can book you in for the opening night? 30th of October. Is it a single booking or will you be traveling with anyone?" I asked excitedly. It was nearly time to open up, and our first guests would be right around Halloween, so I made a promotion on social media to get the spooky vibes going. I had a chef and bar staff employed as well as a valet arranged for the visitors, it was all going well.
I re-warded the whole house from Lucille, that bitch could suck it if she thought she was going to ruin my night. I even invited my coven all the way from my home town to celebrate Samhain in style! I had booked in at leas 20 guests for my grand opening and things were looking epic on the financial front. I had secured funding from a local historical society as well as The Cushing Society to host evenings provide people with information about the house and The work of Edith Cushing.
I turned to Malefic who was busying himself with with his paws in the scratching post. I really did marvel at how this cat could both be a pretty kitty and a vicious beast all in one.
I walked over to Liam who was painting the ceiling in the main lobby, it looked spectacular with the chandeliers. Liam was not only back but raring to go with new found vigor. The doctors had told us he was extreamly lucky, it was an act of god he didn't die or become paralysed. Act of a witch... I thought to myself.
The Floors had been redone in the style of the time and We repainted everything it's traditional colour. It was dark and moody, and covered with light. Dark Academia dream! Plus, I could almost imagine hosting Harry Potter events there too, the Hogwarts vibes was off the wall! " Well, we won't be in your hair for too long now! We only have fittings left to do, bits and bats and we are done." Liam smiled politely and touched up the final parts of the mouldings around the lights. " Aw Liam! I am so excited and honestly thankful for all the careful work you and your people put in. Honestly, you guys went above and beyond for me!" He stepped down his ladder and I held up my hand to high five which he kindly and shyly gave. "Hey, I am putting you guys on the list for the party by the way. "
"Oh, you don't need to-" He started but I cut his off mid sentence. "Nonesense, the papers are coming over to review and write up on the grand opening, and I want you guys to get the recognition you deserve."
"Are you sure you will be ready? I mean, that balcony will be another 3 days at least. And the elevator..."
I smiled, Liam was a total worry wart...and so sweet to think of everything. 'Don't worry the elevator is for aesthetic only, plus we aren't opening the Spa until next spring... all is good Liam, and I owe you a big thanks. That's why I am getting you on the press night list."
Liam was happy and gave me a genuine smile as he continued to finish as I went to the office to complete my work._________
As it got to around 4.30 I traveled around the house after the guys were gone, taking a quick look at the handywork that had been done. I took a few more photos and headed back to my bedroom to take a nap before my little date tonight with Thomas. I felt incredibly nervous. Honestly he hadn't come out and said it was a 'date' per se, but the fact he wanted dinner and for me to dress up... it had to be... right?
As I lay back in the bed, I thought of him lay here with me, holding me in his arms. I felt myself moisten again at the though of his lips on mine, his hand on my thigh as he reached further up to pull down my underwear. Oh impure thoughts, you're gonna be the death of me! I thought with a chuckle. I had to contain myself, but I had to be honest, there were worse things to think about while drifting off...
