"Have you seen Jason?" Piper asked Hazel with a frown on her face.

"Well... I don't think so, but I haven't seen Percy or Leo either. I could ask Frank," Hazel suggested.

The three girls were hanging in the Hades cabin, Piper who was doing Hazel's hair, Annabeth who was reading her Architecture book, and Hazel who was trying her best to stay still. Piper had decided that it was time for them to have some 'girl time', because they never really got to hang out during the war.

"No, it's alright," Piper assured, braiding Hazel's hair into two fishtails, "they'll be fine."

"Well," Annabeth sighed, rolling her eyes. "I haven't seen Percy ever since this morning. He seemed to be grumbling about something."

Piper laughed, "Leo. Either a prank or tricked him somehow into doing something."

"Definitely," Hazel agreed with a small grin on her face.

"Poor Seaweed Brain," Annabeth looked up from her book.

They fell back into a comfortable silence for a few minutes before Piper sighed in frustration, jumped up, and said, "I'm going for a walk. These dam ADHD nerves..." she muttered.

"I'll come," Hazel jumped up with her. "You coming, Annabeth?" she smiled at Annabeth.

"Sure," she said, reluctantly putting down her book.

Together, they bounded out the door and started towards the forest. Piper decided that it would be a good day for some exploring in the woods, maybe some sparing. After all, she hadn't trained much ever since the war.

"Where are we even going?" Annabeth raised an eyebrow, surveying their surroundings.

"No idea," Piper scrunched her nose up. "Just walking randomly."

"Okay, but then-" Hazel started when she suddenly put her hand cautiously on her dagger strapped to her side.

Without question, Annabeth reflexively swung out her dagger, and Piper gripped Katropis. They all posed into a fighting stance, ready for anything that was about to come. As seconds of silence turned into minutes, Hazel suddenly cupped a hand around her ears, no longer gripping her dagger.

"You hear that?" Hazel whispered out loud.

They all stopped breathing for a second, trying to catch a glimpse of what Hazel was talking about. A few moments later, Piper heard it. Faint music came from beyond where they were standing, and it seemed to be some sort of nursery rhyme you would hear at McDonald's or something.

"I don't think it's anything dangerous," Piper murmured quietly under her breath.

"Don't jinx it." Annabeth crept quietly towards the source of noise, while Piper and Hazel tiptoed behind her, weapons still halfway up.

As they walked, the music grew louder and louder until the music practically blasted their eardrums. They stopped right in front of a limestone cliff, small flickers of orange and yellow dancing in the cloudless sky, while Annabeth promptly began to lasso a rope around the sharp edge of the cliff, and pull herself up with an unnatural gracefulness. It made sense that they would not go around the cliff, in case if there was actual danger, they could have a higher advantage from above. Except, Piper was doubting that it was something that serious, but decided that it was better to be safe than sorry.

With no objection, Hazel went up next, gripping the edge and pulling herself up with help from Annabeth. Wonky, off-tune, high-pitched voices pierced the air as Piper winced.

I'm starting to think this mission is ridiculous, she thought as she braided her flying hair quickly and started to find her footing on the yellowish cliff.
