New Camper

Percy's POV

"Did you hear there was a new camper?" Piper asked before plucking a piece of toast from Annabeth's hands and taking a big bite. Percy was unsurprised, considering that he had already heard this ruckus from the other campers. 

Annabeth nodded, taking a donut from the table. "Yup. He hasn't been claimed yet. I don't know his name yet, but Chiron asked us to tour through the camp." 

"Tour him?" Leo started to grin evilly, rubbing his hands together and a glint entered his eyes. "Can I-?"

Frank looked alarmed, and immediately shook his head frantically. Hazel interrupted sternly, "No. You are not going to scare the schist out of the camper, Leo. ESPECIALLY not after you almost traumatized the campers in Camp Jupiter last time you visited." 

Percy snickered. They had a blast when they jump scared the Venus kids, planted clowns everywhere, painted the Apollo cabin red when they were camping outside during the night instead. Their reactions were absolutely priceless as they saw their camp the next morning. Even Hazel and Frank were stunned to the point where they had no words to say. Well... then the girls started to yell at them and decided to drag them shopping as a punishment. 

Shopping wasn't that bad. It was just more time spent with Wise Girl, he convinced himself, wincing when he thought of entering Victoria Secret because of Leo. None of the girls wanted to go, but Piper decided to keep an eye on Leo, who ended up dragging Percy along to. It was AWKWARD when the cashier looked at the purchases and an extremely cheerful Leo. 

"When?" Jason raised his eyebrows, sipping on a fizzy drink. "And what's his name?" 

Percy sighed. Besides hearing from other campers, Grover had talked to him late last night when they had found the camper. The camper was found in the middle of the night when he was almost attacked inside his house. The satyrs immediately brought him to the camp after the camper killed the monster with a piece of tuna and a lightsaber sword. At least that's what Grover said. "I don't think anyone heard about his name yet. He was found in the middle of the night."

"Yep," Annabeth confirmed and looked impressed at Percy's words. Percy assumed she knew because Chiron probably informed her. "We're doing it when that guy wakes up. We're just going to answer his questions. No funny business." She sent a look that Percy recognized pretty well. 

Leo smiled sheepishly. "I won't do any-"

Frank groaned. "I seriously don't think any of us are going to believe that."

Mutters of agreement followed, and Leo protested in a sputter. "I promise that I won't do anything that will kill!"

Piper sent him a withering look, and he laughed nervously. "What?"

"You know what," Hazel placed a hand on her hip with an unimpressed look. 

With a snicker, Percy pulled a blueberry muffin from the table and took a big bite. 

Leo gulped, and mouthed the words 'help' to Jason and Percy. Jason had a look that said "You got this coming at you" while Percy tilted his head and squinted with a mock confused expression. "U-um-"

Huh. Was he trying to talk to me? Percy frowned. I didn't hear it... Wait- Wait- Have I lost my hearing? he frantically touched his ears, a sigh of relief escaping him when he could hear the Ares cabin groaning from afar. 

A familiar voice suddenly interrupted from the side. "Hello, Annabeth and Percy. And the others." Percy instinctively reached towards Riptide when they all turned around, but relaxed when he saw a brown-haired teenager with striking orange and blue eyes with the familiar centaur standing at his side. He looked nervous when he kept on tapping on his jeans just like Leo, his eyes flickering around the unfamiliar camp.
