AU. This is an alternate universe story, and they are currently in Goode High.

Percy's POV.

"Have you seen those new, hot chicks at our school? I can't wait to hook up with her." Trey, one of the basketball jocks sighed dreamily. I wrinkled my nose in disgust- Like ew- and focused on my pasta. My blue pasta.

Jason who sat beside me looked up from his phone, and scoffed, "Lay off dude. That's gross."

Trey ignored him and continued to daydream, staring up at the lights on the ceiling like they were heaven.

I hadn't actually seen the new students yet. Apparently, they were EXTREMELY cute, according to sweaty boys on the swimming team-I'm not sweaty- and they were transfer students.

After Trey's detailed description of the girls, I think I would be more terrified to meet them than excited. According to him, their "eyes would pierce your soul." But his opinion didn't really matter anyway, because he literally went out with all of the girls in the school within a month we've been in this school.

For him, it was hook up with a random person, stuff, next girl, repeat. Like a conveyer belt. Except he pretty much leaves girls heartbroken... And I don't think that he'll actually treat a girl PROPERLY like a person. Well... At least not this year.

"Woah." Leo blinked, dazed. "Is she one of the new girls?" he gaped and pointed at a girl with caramel hair that was tied into a braid, and dark eyes. She turned when she noticed Leo was staring at her, narrowed her eyes, and flipped him away. Another girl turned around, and I immediately captured eyes with intelligent, dark, stormy, grey eyes that seemed to 'pierce my soul' as Trey had described. Her eyebrows her straight as her face was masked with a flat look. Her shiny blond hair was messily tied into a ponytail and she glared at me as I dumbly looked at her. With a scowl, she rolled her eyes and turned back over, whispering to one of her friends. As she turned slightly, I noticed the mischief hidden in her eyes.

"S-She looked at me!" Leo gasped. "She probably saw how Mcshizzling hot I was- Y'know, this gorgeous bad boy-" he gestured towards his skinny-twig arms, but I still was staring at the back of the girl with grey eyes, and I felt like I had just lost the majority of my brain cells.

I turned back to my lunch and slowly chewed on my pasta, still unable to think about the small interaction. I guess Trey's description was on key, especially since I felt like my brain was just sucked out. Shaking my head, I snapped out of it and noticed Frank was staring at a girl with frizzy brown hair and bright golden eyes. She smiled a little at him, and he goofily grinned back.

Jason seemed to notice this too and clapped him on the back with a smirk that seemed to understand what was going on. Frank's face flushed red as he looked away with an inevitable grin.

Suddenly, in the midst of the cafeteria chaos, I heard a girlish scream.

Everybody seemed to swivel their heads toward our table, and slowly I turned around to see what they were looking at, just to see the pretty girl with grey eyes and the caramel hair colored girl smirking, an empty cup of coffee dripping brown drops onto Trey's white shirt. His mouth was still open as he stared down at his shirt in horror.

"What the heck Annie!" Trey yelled and trusted a finger at the girls. The girl's expression didn't seem fazed. "You-You b-"

She laughed sweetly, but that just made it seem even more deadly. "First of all, it's Annabeth. Get it right, kid. Your first mistake was trying to flirt with me. Your second was trying to hook up with me. I'm not going to be one of your toys that you toss in the trash."
