The trio reached Hogsmeade and Severus felt like his lungs have died. "For the love of anything holy please can we just walk instead of run" He breathed out as he leaned against the wall of one of the nearest buildings. Lily looked at him with concern and muttered a soft sorry. James on the other hand was trying to stifle his laughter knowing he would get hit (or bit in Lily's case, he still has the bitemark from when they first met!)

"How about we go to Tomes and Scrolls?" Lily offered in a way to apology to her best friend. Severus beamed at that idea and quickly nodded. The trio made their way to the bookstore in order to make Severus happy. "So sev when are you gonna talk to Rosier? I mean you two are in the same house" James spoke as they all walked.

"Never, I rather die then go up to him"

"Oh c'mon on sev! All you have to do is shake his hand and see if your soulmark changes color" Lily whined and clung to his arm. She was getting tired of seeing her best friend so sad and she wanted it to change. "Besides, we have yet to meet some other person with caterpillars as their soulmark" She added.

Severus chuckled softly "Their mark is probably somewhere that's always hidden by clothing so unless you're willing to get everyone naked goodluck with that" He spoke and Lily pouted. "You are such a downer" She said "But I love you anyways" She added and hugged him tightly.

"Why don't we just have Regulus and Sirius help. Those two are his cousins anyways, plus Reg is a slytherin and in quidditch like Rosier. He could ask him what his favorite creature is" James stated as he began walking backwards in front of the pair. Lily let out a gasp and then squealed loudly that Severus had to cover his ears to avoid going deaf.

"James that brilliant! Why didn't I think of that?!" She shouted out. James simply shrugged "Don't know but hey now we have a plan" He said. Severus rolled his eyes "Um hello! Don't I get a say in this or what?" He said in a annoyed tone. Both Lily and James laughed before declaring that "No, Sev you do not have a say in this" He was calmly dragged the rest of the way to the bookstore. Severus let out a sigh and prayed to whoever would listen to end him.

The trio arrived at the bookstore and Severus smiled. 'Finally I lose them amongst the books' He thought to himself. He quickly wondered off the minute James and Lily took their eyes off him. He walked towards the back and he allowed his fingers to graze alongside the books as he walked. A small smile appeared on his face, going to any bookstore always made him smile.

He stopped in his tracks as he noticed a book that looked like the one he had been looking for for some time now. He grabbed it and beamed as he saw the cover. Right in his hands was a rare potions book. He had ask Lucius for help in finding it when he heard about it by Professor Slughorn. The search came up empty and he sadden by that fact.

Severus held the book tightly against his chest as he ran looking for James and Lily. In the midst of people in the store he collided with someone. "I'm sorry" He said as he took a step back.

"It's fine Severus"

"Regulus!"

"In the flesh" Regulus said while smiling. Severus chuckled and smiled back at his friend "What are you doing here?" He asked. Regulus shrugged "Nothing really, I'm just escaping from Barty. He won't shut up about the fact that he has detention this weekend" He stated tiredly. Severus patted Regulus's shoulder in way to comfort him.

"So what book is that?" Severus looked down at the book in his hand, he smiled and held it up for Regulus to see. "It's a rare potions book, I've been looking for it for some time now and now I've actually found it" He said excitedly. Regulus chuckled and the two were soon accompanyed by the two people Severus was originally looking for.

"Severus Snape! You can't just wander off like that!!" Lily said as she hugged her friend from behind. "You're grounded the minute we get back to Hogwarts!!" James shouted out.

"Since when did you become my mother?"

"Since now!!"

Severus rolled his eyes and smirked "How about we make a deal?" He said which peaked James's interest. "What kind of deal?" He asked "Buy me this book and I'll talk to Rosier" Severus stated as he handed the book to him. James stared at the book for a few minutes before taking it from Severus's hands. He walked off to go pay for it and Severus smiled.

"Ya knowpaying for that book will make him go bankrupt" Regulus said.

"Oh I know" Severus spoke, Lily stared at her best friend and her soulmate but before she could ask them what they were talking book. She was interrupted by loud scream of the word "What"

"Guess James knows now too...."
