It was a lot tougher to conjure courage and apologize to someone who was not in the mood to hear your reasons. Kakashi barely looked at me or even talked; his students felt off with his sudden serious attitude whereas I grumbled alone and followed the group like a lost puppy. Naruto was right, I had acted out but it was only because I had been thrown amidst powerful people without the guidance or protection of father! Not to mention my powers weren't fully under my control. However, I decided the time and opportunity to say sorry would arrive soon and it was best to focus on the mission at hand rather than the silver-haired sensei. When we did step into the very sands of Suna, Temari sniffed the air and looked at the sky- predicting a sand storm, she had said and like her words were prophecies we felt the chilly dusty breeze of the land and how the tiny particles whirled together to form a sand typhoon. The blonde woman quickly led us to take shelter in a cave for the time being and waited to overcome the storm. I was near the entrance, my eyes scouting the area to find any abnormal chakra signatures or whispers of trespassers while the rest of the team huddled together and relaxed. Well, Naruto wasn't having it- he was enraged, excited beyond words and constantly complained to the point where he tried leaving the cave on his own.

"Naruto! I told you not to lose patience" Kakashi's stern voice did not help the boy calm down but together we all tried reasoning. For instance, with a storm this terrifying he would be lost in his way towards Sunagakure or worse, with little water supply he would perish out of thirst. The entire time inside the cave, Kakashi pretended as if I didn't exist. I would have said something snarky in return but I knew I had stepped out of the line with what I said. He was, at the end of the day, my team captain and I had been chosen because he decided I had potential. The rest of the group also had let this slide, as they didn't want to meddle between the unpleasant situations. Soon the storm subsided and we ran straight towards the gates of the village. Two ginormous pillars of rocky mountain greeted my sight as I took in its grand entrance. The color was murky brown, smooth structure with gashes on its surface, lined with platforms set against the rocky barrier were guards should have had been stationed. Instead, I could smell the bleach but it was faint, soot covered some areas as well as some part of the mountain seemed to have had fallen apart. Two guards immediately waved at us and we hurried towards the duo; just as they began to talk, their faces warped and I could hear distanced muffled voices,

"Halt! Who goes there!" the carriage stopped and I stirred up from my deep slumber, cuddled against other girls who looked to be drowsy. My silver yukata's long sleeves were carefully draped against my lap as I tried to peek outside through the window slits; however, I was unable to make out any physical attributes of the land or the talking men.

"I am carrying special guests for the Suna lords; Mi#$ Ya!^% and her disciples- let us through!"

"Hai! Hai!"

"Girls, behave" a heavy bright light obscured my vision as the woman speaking to me leaned forward. Her dangling jewelries flashed like golden stars against the sunlight while her full lips parted to speak more.

*flashback ends*

As my team moved forward following the guards, so did the carriage and I could faintly see Konoha markings engraved on its back. The silhouette of the ghostly transport almost camouflaged against the rocky terrain with the voices inside it fading to extinction. Father had mentioned earlier that he had to leave me in Konoha to be raised by a governess, someone who was paid to keep me company while he was out on missions. Was the woman who talked to me perhaps my mentor? I tried to recall any memories from this place but alas, that was all I got. A little flashback of a time that made no sense, I hadn't even seen anyone there and neither did I have sufficient information to make an investigation out of it.
