The fact that Kenjiro Tsuda is the voice actor for Aoba makes me love Aoba 10x more. Re-watching Naruto, I was sure that his voice seems familiar and lo and behold! Anyway, I am finally happy to start this chapter because the story is finally going to get a bit more interesting after a while😉
Y/N's P.O.V
"Sends me a letter to meet him and he's the one who doesn't show up" I cocked my brow at walking pedestrians who were, by now, able to recognize me as the newest addition to team Kakashi. Rumors had spread about the renowned Sannin Jiraiya's unnamed daughter and I was getting used to people passing me flabbergasted, perverted or questioning stares. Sometimes I could hear them gossip about how I had been conceived; the stories ranged from illegitimate child to the marriage with an unknown clan up in the mountains, sometimes my mother was just another entertainer from the outskirts or at times, my mother was thought to be none other than our honorable Godaime-sama. But most of all, the buzz around me only escalated once people started noticing how much close I was with a certain silver haired shinobi and our previous entrance at Nakano-san's party had stirred this topic dangerously. I heaved an exhausted sigh- where was Kakashi? My short cut pants fit against my body snugly while my favorite midnight blue blouse allowed room to breathe and move with agility. I checked the shuriken holster once and then snaked my hands behind to tighten the pouch carrying deadly weapons. I had woken up in time just to see the hetero-eyed sensei who was still nowhere to be seen. "I swear, is this another one of his superiority demonstration? Oh, Y/N, I can be late because I am your captain" I started mocking the man lowering my vocal baritone. "I got lost in the path of life" I continued, "How irritating" smiling at the thought of the man walking slowly towards me with an unamused expression seemed to pacify most of my rage. Even though his eagerness was easy to notice, most of those who watched him never bothered to discern the way his deep silver eye dilated or how sometimes it glimmered. Or the times when he would show his absolute disagreement by a gentle heave of sigh, the times his anger was prominent when he spoke slowly in lower baritone or the way his mask tipped up slightly as he watched his students bickering. Kakashi was in many ways an open book but hardly anyone could read the foreign text. It had been a few days since I saw him and he had been busy doing paper works. I desperately wished to meet him and maybe, that's why I was waiting for him zealously.
The location was extremely public; in front of me, at least, twenty people commendably conversed with each other and the rest of the people just walked minding their own businesses. A lot of patients in wheelchairs or gurneys were brought out of the hospital, some groups went home bawling their eyes out while time to time, I would notice a young child wrapped in bandages being carried by their parents or a mother walking out with a small sack that wailed viciously. I could only imagine how long that smile would remain once the mother realized that she had to listen to that loud cry every night for at least two years straight. Konoha Hospital remained busy even on the laziest of days; it never slept and never stopped working- unstintingly the nurses aided to wounded patients and provided medical services to those in intensive units. If there was one thing I was sure of, it was that I was spared from becoming a medical ninja. Just like that, another young woman walked out of the front door with two little children following her. She was cradling a small pouch in her arms that moved every now and then, while the father tried calming down the eager siblings who wanted to carry the newest addition of their family. While my focus was fixated on that new mother with her child who would coo and then cry for attention, I almost, almost, failed to notice a certain red-eyed beauty who sneakily tried to evade my presence.
"Good morning Kurenai"
"Y/N!" she feigned her shock before smiling nervously, "Didn't see you there"
"Mhmm, I bet" I smiled haughtily, "So, what brings you here?"
