Chapter seven

I went to work next day after the gala where Lucas and I haven't spoken to each other for some time so i thought it would be best to break the silence with each other. Then I went to his office where Lucas told me he has  a date tonight so he couldn't hang with me. 

''Okay let me know when you are available.'' I walked away where I saw Jackson heading this way towards me. 

''Hi, Jackson.'' I said.

''Hi, Isabelle.'' He smiled.

''Jackson, I need the papers.'' Lucas said. Jackson headed to Lucas's office giving him the papers where Jackson followed me telling me he wants to take me to some art exhibit.

''I am honored.'' I said. Then I headed home finding a dress for tonight since it was my first time all over again to go out on a date. My mother brought me a box where she told some person left on the doorstep where I was looking for a note but I couldn't find one. 

Then I open the box where the note was looking at me saying ,''Here the dress of luck.'' I was wondering who could it be until I thought of Lucas where I text him telling him thank you. He text me to telling me good luck on my date. I couldn't believe Lucas went through all this just to buy me a dress for my date.

I got myself prepared before Jackson come to pick me up for this date, Cherry was shocked to see me all dressed up again so she asked me if i have a date where i was smiling.

''Oooo Who is he?'' She asked.

''Jackson.'' I said.

''Jackson from the gala?'' she asked.

''Yes, that Jackson.'' I was looking in the mirror to see if I look good where my sister was shocked to see me out of my shell heading towards my date. Then the bell rang where Jackson was waiting for me, I headed downstairs seeing Jackson looking handsome.

''Wow.'' He says.

''You look handsome.'' I smiled. Then he walked towards me heading where he was stunned to see me, then Lucas was outside where he was stunned by the dress he gave me to wear for this art gallery. 

''Lucas, are you going to the art gallery?'' I asked.

''Yeah, my date is waiting for me there.'' he says.

''Your date, huh?'' I was shocked to hear that he is on a date. Then Jackson, Lucas, and I headed to the car since Jackson is driving and he didn't mind going with Lucas. Lucas was on his phone while Jackson and I was talking for the whole car ride. Lucas told Jackson he will not be going home so he can have the night at his house.

I was wondering when Lucas let Jackson have his house for the whole night until Jackson clear it all when he told me Lucas and him are cousin. I was so shocked to hear that they are cousin and he paired me with his cousin. I texted Lucas to tell him that I need to speak with him because he let out a detail before he went on pairing me with his cousin.

Lucas told me to meet him in the bathroom where I took a glass of wine heading towards the bathroom, then I asked him if Jackson was his cousin in reality where he says it's true where he was hoping that i didn't know but now it is too late.

I went back out heading to see some portraits of these talented artist, Jackson told me he loves this portrait where he will be purchasing it tonight. I didn't blame him because it looks beautiful and it would look lovely hanging on a wall of an apartment or a house.  He smiled at me where he said he is hoping to see me in his apartment staring at this portrait.

I looked at him where i was slowly feeling butterflies inside of my tummy, he asked me if i wanted another glass of wine where i told him to bring me another. Then some lady came towards me telling me how she loves this portrait. I told her my boyfriend will be purchasing this portrait. 

''Oh really, who is your boyfriend?'' She asks.

''My boyfriend is Jackson.'' I said.

''Nice.'' she smiles.

''Do you know him?'' I asked.

''My date is his cousin.'' She says.

''And you are?'' I asked.

''Lucy Harrington, the oldest family friend of the Vushkmar.'' She says but i couldn't keep my eyes off her because she is beautiful and I didn't know how could she not be dating Lucas.

''So you are dating Lucas?'' I asked.

''He was my ex but now we are dating again hopefully.'' She was looking for him as she flip her hair away from her face where Lucas came seeing her standing next to me. 

''Lucy, what are you doing here?'' Lucas was staring at her while he was giving me the eye.

''I wanted to see you.'' She lean on Lucas.

''Lucy, we need to talk now.'' He pulled her away so he can talk to her but this made me curious because i wanted to know how could he leave someone as beautiful as she is.
