Until Married

Chapter ten

I went to my job asking her for her forgiveness since i was acting like some fool where she told me she will until i give her a date with Lucas. I couldn't believe she wanted to date Lucas where she been telling me she have been wanting to speak to him but he was always unapproachable and since he was with me so she thought i could coerced my friend into a date with her.

''Sure, not a problem.'' I said.  I text him where i told him i need to see him after work but she told me i was off the hook for now so i text him telling me to meet at the cafe. He came to see me where he was shocked to see me in a cafe where he peg for me to be around somewhere that deals with wine and liquor.

''My boss wants a date with you in order for me to keep my job.'' I said.

''So, your boss coerced you to get a date with me?'' He couldn't help but to smile when he should know this is serious and i need this job badly because it shows that i am capable of being something instead of a screw up. He told me to give her number to him so he can text her so he can set a meeting with her to see what he is dealing with.

''Just say yes for me.'' I beg.

''Fine, just one date.'' He looked at me and then he went to the cashier ordering something for himself and something for me but i was not in the mood to drink coffee. he bring me tea where i couldn't help but to feel sad for Lucas because he hasn't found that someone who can make him feel like himself.

''Why don't you date?'' I asked.

''Say the women who is dealing with her best friend engaged with her ex.'' He says taking a sip of his coffee.

''I know but still I date but you don't ever.'' I was trying to understand where he told me he doesn't have time to date since he running companies all across the world.

''Even if you are, why don't you date?'' You are a catch after all.'' I said.

'' I used to date this woman where she hurt me by sleeping with my best friend where she got married to him.'' He looked the other direction when he told me this. 

''Lucas, you shouldn't let that stop you from dating.'' I said.

''I don't want to be used like some puppet, i want love but no one is serious so i guess i grew into that mindset where love and marriage is useless.'' I couldn't believe this guy is suffering like this, i wish i met him way before. i wouldn't never do those things to him ever but i don't want him to think like i like him like that.

''So why didn't you ask me out?'' I asked. He stopped to process the question i asked him where he laughed.

''I was being serious.'' I said.

''I know you were but you don't like me and I don't like you like that.'' Besides you came to me to help you and not date you.'' He says where i felt my heart fall down badly because he shows there was no possibility of us being together.

''I guess I am not your type.'' I looked the other direction sipping my tea where he didn't say anything which shows i never had a chance to have him in my arms at all. I told him I need to help Stephanie with some stuff for her wedding since i have nothing better to do until he ask me about the date with Jackson where i told him that he has something planned for us but i don't know what it could be.

''Have fun.'' He stare at me. 

''Bye.'' I walked out of the cafe heading to my car driving home where i was thinking about Lucas and what he said to me earlier at the cafe. Cherry was outside waiting for me since Stephanie wants us to be there for her while she is fitting on her wedding dress, I got a text from Michael where he want to see me but I text him back telling him he needs to leave me alone.

Cherry ask me if i was okay since she sees me down but i couldn't help myself but to tell her that Lucas doesn't see me that way.

''He is jerk.'' Cherry was encouraging me.

''It doesn't matter anyways since I am with his cousin Jackson.'' I said.

''Don't you move fast?'' She looked at me.

''No, he is the one who was with for those time while Lucas was helping me.'' I said.

''I mean he is cutie pie as well so you guys would be good for each other.'' She smiled.

''Thanks.'' I was driving out of the driveway where mom called Cherry telling her she needs to pick up the cake for tonight dinner where I heard Lucas was coming with his cousin and date. My eyes popped knowing i just seen Lucas and he didn't mention anything about this so what the hell is really going on.
