Until Married

Chapter thirty-one

Our wedding is arriving soon where we are going to be Mr. and Mrs. Vushkmar. I am trying to figure out where to seat people and with who because this is very important that the right people sit next to each other. 

Cherry and Sheila were helping out with the venue, caters while I try to see who I want sitting next to each other. Lucas was coming from his study walking over to the kitchen kissing me on the forehead while he is looking for something to eat. 

''So, my mom is coming over to have lunch with you and your mother.'' Lucas reminded me that I am having dinner with his mom. It will be nice to have lunch with her because the last time we hang out was before the engagement party. Lucas left to go to work while I went to get myself prepared for lunch with his mom and my mom. 

I receive a text from his mom pertaining to the place we are going to meet at for lunch. I text the details to my mom to meet us there. I got prepared and it was time for me to leave to meet up with my mother-in-law while my mother is leaving her house as we speak. I was on my way to the restaurant while my mom was already there sitting down with Lucas's mother.

''Theresa, it's a pleasure to meet you.'' Mom was so excited to see the woman who has birthed one of the richest men in the world. She was wondering who my mother was until she introduces herself saying that she is Vivian. She is the mother of the bride where Theresa laughed knowing who she was all this time. I was this close to making it by letting them have a nice conversation with one another knowing they are going to be grandparents soon.

''Our children are expecting and getting married.'' Theresa says.

''Yes, I am excited for Isabelle and Lucas's journey.'' She agrees with Theresa as she ask the waiter to bring one of their finest bottles to the table. She wanted to celebrate that they don't need to wait to be grandparents when we did all that on our own. I arrived only to see them already bonding before I got there but seeing them bonding is so nice to watch. The hostess took me to the table as they were on their second bottle for the day before I even got there. I ask the hostess to bring the waiter. I waited for the waiter as they were laughing about something only to realize I arrived and sat down at the table. 

''Isabelle, we were waiting for you.'' They say, but we all know they were having fun without me there. The waiter came to ask me what drink do I fancy? So, I told him that I fancy a water since now I am with child and cannot drink alcohol. The waiter went to bring my water while they continued laughing until I begin to mention that we need to talk about the wedding. 

Theresa and my mom fixed up themselves before we begin talking about the wedding plans. I was trying to think about how I was going to set some people at what tables for the reception. Theresa mention that I don't want to set up every businessperson with each other because some are enemies, also they don't want to talk business during the time of the reception. Set some businesspeople with their significant partner. This is smartest thing because I was debating on how I was going to seat most of the businesspeople together. 

''Thank you so much Theresa.'' I finally figure out the problem while mom is suggesting another issue. She wants to sing at the reception, but I don't know if anyone want to hear her singing. Theresa mentions that she would love to hear my mother singing, so who I am to not let her sing at the reception. Lucy Harrington was walking towards us as she embraces Theresa until she saw me there sitting there in front of Theresa.

''Isabelle.'' She looks surprised. 

''Hello.'' I was not in the mood to play her game. She was curious to know why any wedding stuff on the table is there until she realizes that I am getting married, but hopefully not to Lucas. 

''Congratulations.'' She says sarcastically. 

''Thanks, I am getting married to Lucas.'' 

''The same Lucas we both know.'' She was surprised to know that Lucas is getting married to me instead of her. She always thought she was going to be the one to be marry Lucas instead of me. She thinks I did something in order to get Lucas under my clutches, but I did nothing to get him there other than to have fall in love with me by being myself. 

Lucy seems upset for knowing that I will be getting married to the man she once loved before. She left telling Theresa to let Lucas know he pick the right girl to marry as Theresa wave her goodbye. I was curious to know why they didn't get married until Theresa mention that Lucas was being forced left to right to marry Lucy when he wasn't ready.

She was afraid that Lucas would never marry until he met me. She is happy to know that I make her son happy because people were hoping he would have gotten married to Lucy because of the connection she has which would help Lucas with more business. Theresa couldn't be happier to have me join the family soon.  I was this close to crying in front of them at the restaurant, also I am emotionally lately these days. I don't like feeling lonely lately these days especially planning this wedding to be as perfect it can be. 

We had a great lunch time where I had to drive my mother home since she is drunk. I told the driver that I will call Lucas when he is on his way back home to come get me. I took my mom home putting her to bed to rest off her drunkenness with a glass of water on her bedside. I went downstairs to get some water to drink before I call Lucas, but Lucas beat me to it when he texts me that he will be coming to get me. Once he came to get me, I embrace him as I tell him that I miss him. 

''I miss you too, baby.'' He embraces me.
