Next day at schoolAll of them were sitting outside today for lunch, since it was a beautiful day to do so. However, only one person was missing today from the group.
After returning from that dreadful and terrifying dinner, Chaeryeong had gone to Lia's house as she eventually cried herself asleep.
Lia didn't mind her staying at all, the only thing she felt was anger for it broke her heart to see her best friend in this state.
Luckily, Chaeryeong's parents were fine with her sleeping over at Lia's house, though they didn't know that she skipped today. Of course Lia was fine with it so she told Chaeryeong it was ok for her to stay at the house for the day.
Of course their friends were worried since she would never miss a day of school. As per Chaeryeong's request, Lia had told them that she was feeling a little under the weather. What she said had calmed their worries except for one person.
"Do you think it's a cold? Maybe we could bring some medicine and snacks for her?" suggested Yeji.
Lia was touched by the idea, but she thought it would be best for Chaeryeong to rest.
"Thanks Yeji, but it'd be better for her to rest. However, if you don't mind, do you think you can collect her books and work that she missed today and drop them off at my house? I'll give them to her later today."
"Of course."
"Yah Yeji! where was all this worry when I was sick for a week?" Yuna asked, clearly offended.
"You were sick? When?"
"Huh I didn't even know you were gone. Maybe that's why." Ryujin said, which led to a punch from Yuna.
"Tsk. Lia! Look how they treat me! I can only rely on you and Chaeryeong." she hugged Lia tightly like a baby holding on to their mother while pouting.
Lia hugged her back and patted her head as if understanding her suffering child. "Don't worry, I'll protect you." Yuna only smiled in response.
"Anyways, are you guys doing anything after school?"
"Well since there's no practice today, I'm going to my dad's firm and work a little." Said Yeji as she explained how her father was a well known and respected lawyer.
"Woah so like do help him out in cases?" asked Lia.
"Not yet. I mostly help my father manage documents, but while I'm there he teaches me, so that I can learn how the whole job works. That's about it. So what about you three?"
"I need to head to the school library and check out a few books, that's about it.''
"I'll join you. I need to go there, too." said Ryujin
"If you're going, I'll go, too." Yuna smiled because this was a chance to annoy Ryujin as much as possible. She wouldn't want to let an opportunity like this pass. How fun this will be.
After school had ended Lia, Ryujin, and Yuna headed straight to the school's library. The place was as always extremely quiet and there were already a few people in there since all the students are having their upcoming midterms soon.
However, the peaceful and quiet atmosphere was soon to destroyed with Shin Yuna there.
As soon as we walked in Yuna had already managed to trip over a stack of books waiting to be moved to the shelves. Everyone turned their attention to the noise. "Oops! sorry guys, it was just some books! All is good!" Both Lia and Ryujin sighed and lower their heads in embarrassment.
