Part 6

Ryujin's POV

As I was taking a sip of water, I saw Chaeryeong walk up to Lia and Yuna with a basket and blanket.

I turned to Yeji, who is currently talking to some girls from our class who were watching us practice. I silently listen to the little conversation they have.

"You were working really hard out there so we brought you some water." One of them gives Yeji a bottle of water. Jeez. They do anything for her.

"Anyways how, we just wanted to ask if you wanted to go out to eat with my friends and I. I know you're probably starving right now, especially after your scrimmage."

I roll my eyes. 'Come on Yeji. All you have to do is say no'

"Ah! Thank you so much Jihyun, but I don't know" Yeji says with uncertainty as she scratches her head.

"Aww please? We promise we won't be any trouble to you. Come on, it'll be fun!"

Yeji gives me a look as she seeks for my help. I sigh. I walk up to her as I place my arm around her.

"Sorry guys. Yeji and I are going to eat with our friends over there right now. it's not a problem, right?" I say.

She looks to where I point to Yuna, Lia, and Chaeryeong are talking among themselves. The girl for a split had an annoyed expression that I only seemed to notice, but she quickly smiled back not answering my question. Instead, she spoke to Yeji again.

"Maybe another time, Yeji. I guess we'll leave you and your friends be. See you tomorrow!" she walks away with her friends.

"What the fuck Yeji. Is it that hard to say no?" I scold her.

"I don't know! I just feel bad if I say no."

Yeji is always like this. Thinking of others before herself.

"Look it's not your fault if you hurt their feelings, ok? Look, you could either say yes or no. That's the risk they take so they should be prepared to have you say no."

"I know but I just can't." her eyes widened as if she thought of a great idea. "Maybe I need to be more like you. A jerk. HAHA- Owww!"

I immediately punched her on her shoulder.

"Dumbass. But it doesn't work. Trust me. Anyways, let's not keep them waiting."

We walked up to a section of the school behind the field where the others were already setting everything up.

"Took you guys long enough. I'm STARVING! If Chaeryeong didn't stop me, I would have eaten without you guys." Grumbled Yuna.

"Well don't just stand there, sit so we can eat together." Lia said while gesturing to Yeji and I to join them to sit on the blanket.

I then notice some crumbs on the side of Lia's mouth.

"Lia, you ate something didn't you?" I questioned.

"No I didn't!" She insisted.

I grab a napkin and wipe off the crumbs and showed it to her as her face turns red from embarrassment since she was caught.

"Next time, don't leave any evidence."

Yuna gasped, "Lia! How could you! I feel betrayed!"

"I'm sorry Yuna, but It was sitting right in front of me! I couldn't resist. Forgive me" Lia admitted with guilt all over her face as Yuna had her arms cross. Lia cupped her hands on Yuna's face as she pleaded for forgiveness.
