"Okay, food timeee~!"

I swivel around on my office chair to head downstairs to make food. The stairs creak underneath my feet, as I jump over a few steps at a time. And upon getting to the kitchen, I swing open a cabinet to find tortillas. I smile as I search for them, but don't find them. Instead, a spider comes out of nowhere and stares up at me. Waiting..

It takes a moment for me to register it, but I squeal and tumble backwards, hitting my elbows against the floor as I back up into a the opposite wall, underneath my kitchen counter island.

"¡No me muerdas!"

I know that if anyone else tried to do it out of us 4 boys, they'd just leave it to starve in a cup by leaving it there for a couple days, and that's not what I'm about. In fact, I was able to take it to the windowsill unharmed, much to Eddie's surprise.

"Wait.. it- it didn't bite you?" he began, getting up and approaching me carefully, as if the answer was a definite yes.

"No, silly."

"Oh Narrator, you're a life saver! Give me a kiss!"

He quickly jumped into my arms, giving me a soft, gentle kiss, as if that was his way of saying 'Thank you for saving me, I would've never done that by myself.' of sorts. And I returned it quite happily, because..
