I guess every story has a beginning whether it's fiction or non-fiction, biographies or even comics. Here goes nothing...

---

I haven't seen my brother in forever. Its been 2 years and 256 days, I miss him so much it hurts. I can still remember when he left, it's one of the memories that hurts the most.

Flashback

I slowly got out of bed, like any other day, I had never really been a morning person. I did my daily routine in the bathroom: Brushing my hair and teeth, putting in my contacts, and doing my makeup.

I went down stairs, like I always did, and went to the kitchen. I grabbed a mug and began to make a cup of coffee.

We all sat down listening to my dad talk about his day while filming. Then out of nowhere, my brother went storming down the stairs with some friends who were carrying most of his stuff. My mom started to ask "What are you doing?" Or "Come back Evan, Please stay?"

He just shook off her questions like they were nothing and followed his friends outside.

I ran up to him and grabbed his arm out of breath, my feet burning on the pavement "What are you doing?"

He took his arm back with guilt in his eyes searching for an answer and found nothing as he stepped into a car and it slipped out of the drive way. That's the last we ever saw of him.

End of flashback

Life did carry on and my parents got divorced, only because losing their son was tearing their marriage and our family apart.

My mom found a boyfriend plus a new house and my dad got remarried. I go to my mom's on the weekends and stay with my dad on the week days. I guess it is hard to lose your best friend because the day he left all of our lives changed.
