The Barbeque

Laura's POV:
"Since when did you start hanging out with all these guys?" My dad asks with an attitude.

"Since when did you actually care about my feelings?" I yell walking into the house.

I decide it wouldn't be fair unless I invited Liza too so I call her.

"Hello" she asks picking up the phone.

"Would you like to come over for a Barbecue?" I ask.

"Sure, my parents went on some business thingy so they won't be back for like 5 days, so can I stay until they get back?"

"You know my dad doesn't care." I tease.

"See you soon."

"Love you."

"Love you too." I hang up.

I put on my bathing suit feeling so insecure, regretting this whole thing. I French braid my hair back so it doesn't get too tangled and take off my makeup. I get out a huge stack of towels, making sure there's enough for everyone and bring it out to the pool.

"LAURA!!" I hear Eva shout.

"COMING!" I yell from the deck, quickly running to the kitchen.

"Yes?" I question.

"Bring this out to the pool deck please?" she asks gesturing to all the food she unbelievably made in the time given.

"M'kay." I say grabbing watermelon and cherries.

After making several trips, I walk back inside just in time to answer the door greeted by Liza.

"Hey." I greeted.

"Hey stranger, I am just gunna put my stuff upstairs." she says gesturing to her small bag of things.

"You already in your swimsuit?" I ask looking at her clothes.

"Yeah under my shirt and shorts." She answers in a 'duh' voice, running upstairs to my room.
Right after she went upstairs there was a knock at the door. I open it to see Keat and he presses his lips against mine.

"Hey babe" he greets.

"Hey" I answer blushing.

"AW LOOK YOU MADE HER BLUSH!!!" I hear Luke yell from somewhere outside.

"Well come inside already! " I tease them.

"Hi I'm Keaton's dad, you can call me Phil." the older man from the picture in Keat's living room introduces.

"You already met me, Laura and you can call me Liz." Keat's mom greets me.

"Long time no see" I say to Michael, Luke, Calum, and Ashton.

"Yeah whatever" Ashton says teasing me.

"Hi Laura!" I hear Zoey shout but I can't find where her voice was coming from.

But out of nowhere Sydney comes running in with Zoey on her back giggling like crazy.

"Hi Zoey and Sydney!" I shout at them.

As the adults gathered to talk about adult things, Liza came back downstairs with just her phone and a shirt on over her swimsuit. out of the corner of my eye I saw Ashton practically drooling at the sight of her.

"Go ahead Ashton." I whisper.

"Are you serious?" He questions, still whispering.

"Yeah" I answer.

"Aren't you going to say some shit about how she is your friend and not to hurt her or something?" He asks confused.

"No, I saw the way you were acting earlier and I know you won't intentionally hurt her." I answer with confidence.
