Bait - Marry Red

I woke up and rubbed my eyes I took a look around and noticed the captain. He was out cold on his desk in a messy pile of books and maps. From what I read he's been all over the world. The iced sea, The tropics and countless small islands. Some I didn't even recognize I decided to not bother with them. For now and went to my brother. As I sat down on the bed the Captain woke up and looked my way.

"Is the sun up?"

"Not yet."

"Alright the crate of stuff there is your stuff."

"Alright once the rest of the Roses wake up I'll go find a bunk."

"If you need help as-"

"Ask Abigail, I know."

"Alright alright."

The captain stood up and put his hat on. He walked to the door and left. I looked at my brother and smiled. It seems better here brother maybe this could be a place we stay. I got up and got dressed in the red uniform they had with the red rose wrapped around my shoulder. I picked up the crate of stuff and left the room. I walked out and saw the Captain and Right Hand talking.

           I chose to ignore it then wandered bellow deck to the bunks and looked around. There really was only girls I kept looking for a bunk. Trying not to look at the many girls changing into uniform. I found a empty bunk and set my crate underneath the bed. I made the bed and went back to the deck. Everyone was already hard at work I looked to Abigail.

"Hey I need a job what can I do?"

"Umm go to the storage it's a floor below the bunk's. Get the bloody bag of meat, can you handle that?"

"Lower deck, Bloody bag. Got it."

I climbed down the ladder to the lower deck. There was huge crates of who knows what. The boxes look like they never ended. I started walking trough all the supplies and treasure. I had almost reached the other end of the ship. When I found the bloody bag of meat. I grabbed it by the strings and dragged it back to the ladder. It left a trail of blood I figured I'll let the cleaning lady know when I get to the main deck.

I slowly drag the bag up the ladder with me getting blood all over my back. I bearly manage to get it up the ladder. I dragged it out where Abigail could see me.

"What do you want me to do with this?"

"Toss it overboard quickly."

"Alright."

I took the bag by the strings and let it hang. Over the side of the ship not a moment later. A giant great white shark with thousands of tiny and big scar's. Jumped out of the water taking the bag of meat with it. Back into the water me being the idiot I am I held onto the string's. Tightly and was pulled into the water behind it. I swam to the surface trying not to frantically swim to get away. The shark swam towards me as I wait for help.

"Leo! You damn idiot."

I saw the captain jump off the side of the ship and dove right into the shark. As Abigail tossed the rope ladder overboard I swam to it. I looked back to see the captain petting the shark. I was so confused I almost slipped off the ladder as I climbed onto the deck. I looked back as the shirtless captain climbed onto the deck. I was stunned by him for a moment then shook it off .

"Try not to get eaten by Leo the first day new girl."

He dried himself off as I watched carefully. He noticed my stare then smiled and said in a soft tone.

"Saw that."

I look away in embarrassment wondering what to do now. As I feel him tap on my shoulder.

"Now mop the mess you made."

"But captain-"

"You made the mess you clean the mess. Now get to work we will be docking at a nearby island soon."

"Yes sir..."

I took the mop and bucket and started mopping. Mumbling to myself out of anger. My brother gets to be in the crows nest scouting for land. While I'm down here feeding pet sharks and mopping blood. I was expecting action not that much work. I dipped the mop into the bucket spilling it onto another Roses feet.

"Shit I'm sorry ma'am."

"You bitch! You did that on purpose didn't you I'll show you new girl."

She raised her hand to slap me but Abigail stepped in and grabbed her arm.

"Save it for fight night Gwen. Captains rules you know them. Disobey them again and you'll be Leo's lunch."

"Y-yes Ma'am."

"Get your ass back to work."

"Thanks Abigail."

"You be careful you don't want to piss anyone else off before fight night. Now get mopping you still got the whole lower deck to go."

"Fight night what the hell is that?!"

"You'll find out. Now get to work."

"Yes ma'am."

I climbed down the ladder to the lower deck and start mopping. At least I can't piss anyone off down here. I slowly mopped the blood away while also admiring. The treasures in the crates stored here. There were so many cool trinket's. You'd never know what to do with em all. Once I finished mopping i sighed in relief. As I took the mop and bucket back up to the main deck. I set it down in case someone needed it.

"LAND I SEE LAND!!"

My brother was jumping for joy when he saw land. I couldn't think about anything but him falling.

"Careful Janté!"

The captain pulled out his telescope and looked ahead. As he steered the ship towards the land.

"Good eye buddy, come on down you can read some of my books."

"You mean the books about your adventure's Captain Rose?"

"Fine but don't tell anyone what you read in them. Okay there might be spoilers for new Roses on the ship."

"Yes Captain!"
