The scene begins with a few boats approaching an island miles and miles from the coast that was covered in snow, and had a massive magnetic storm coming off it. Recently, the academy got word that Arachnophobia was planning to acquire another magic tool, and this one was one of the more powerful ones. So, they've been putting members of the E.A.T. class into teams to help combat against the enemy.

On one of the ships, Ann and Cole were with Genji, Angela, and Hanzo as they were all in snow gear and approaching the island. On another, the main group was with a few other meisters and teachers.

Angela: there's the island. (To the dual meisters) do you remember the plan?

Ann: yeah. While Sid's squad moves to deal with Arachnophobia, us and the other meisters will make our way to the center of the magnetic field where Brew is.

Cole: but only you three, Professor Stein, and Marie will be the only ones entering the field. The rest of us will stay guard incase we get trouble.

Hanzo: correct. Our Angel and Oni heritage will help us last longer, but we have no more than half and hour before we have to leave.

They soon break formation from the others and approach the field with their friends. Soon they arrive at the front of it.

Ann: how's your sight holding up, Cole?

Cole: I'm alright. This cold won't slow me down, but the storm itself is like looking at a tower of static. It's giving me a headache just by being near it.

Stein: Marie, the Shimadas, Angela and I will be the only ones moving on from this point on. The rest of you, stay here until we get back.

Angela: Kim, we should be back here in twenty minutes. If something goes wrong and we don't return in time, use Jacqueline to send a signal to Sid's group and rendezvous with him to leave.

Maka: but Doctor Ziglar, what will happen to you and the others if you get left behind? Arachnophobia will be in there, too. Shouldn't we go with you? You guys might need our help.

Ox: more people only means a bigger battle. And the bigger the battle, the longer it's going to last.

Cole: not to mention, there could be more of Arachnophobia's troops heading down this path, so we'll most likely have to hold them off.

Stein: no need to be worried. With the five of us working together, it doesn't matter how many enemies we'll encounter. We'll be back in five minutes or less. With that said, we're off.

Marie: wish us luck everybody!

The adults went in while the others remained. Not much happened, apart from Blackstar and Kilik fighting over Kilik's chocolate, as they tried to keep warm by the lantern. Five minutes pass, and no word came from the others inside.

Ann: (to Maka) you noticed that too, sis?

Maka: yeah.

Soul: what's wrong?

Maka: neither Ann or I can sense their soul wavelengths anymore.

Everyone turns their attention to them.

Kid: you could sense their souls even through that storm?

Maka: the noise is loud, but we can get a spark here and there.

Ann: but all five just went silent. Something's wrong.

Kid: alright, then I'll go in and check it out. Since I'm a Grim Reaper, i should be able to hold out for a while.

Maka: no, Kid. It's too dangerous to go alone.

Cole: I'll tag along. My Nephilim body should be able to stay up in there.
