Chapter 11: Camping disaster

I woke up and sat up startled. Did I just miss the trip? Am I too late? I grabbed my phone and took a sigh of relief when I saw the time was 5:20am.
I stretched and yawned. I had barely slept last night thinking I'd over sleep or somehow something would go wrong. I turned off my alarms and decided to lay back down for a few minutes closing my eyes. However, realised that wasn't a good idea after I felt a wave of sleepy drowsiness.

After fifteen minutes of overthinking and convincing my brain to get up, I finally managed to wake up properly and wash up, putting on my eyeliner and mascara. I pulled on my outfit for today consisting of a black long skirt, a black scarf, a cute pink t-shirt, followed by a black blazer with lace arms and completing it with a silver necklace and rings.
I then headed downstairs to eat breakfast. I looked around and checked the fridge but nothing seemed appetizing so early in the morning. Still I grabbed a croissant and some toast forcing it down with a cup of warm tea.

Suddenly my phone screen lit up. I rushed and picked it up to check already knowing who it was.

"HANIYA ARE YOU AWAKE????"

"YES, yes I am but I'm tired, I barely slept😭"

"FUDGE SAME😭"

"It's already 6:10 OMG we need to leave soon to get there at 7"

"I'll be out in 5 minutes wait for me!!!"

"Okay HURRY, can't miss the bus"

I put my phone down, checked the mirror one last time, checked my bag over five times and pulled on my jacket and heeled boots.
Okayy time to go.

"Hii Han"

"Heyy Saf your looking GoOoOd!! I won't be surprised if you find your other half todayy" I squealed after seeing her.

"Shh no that's not happening I don't look thattt good and it's always the same old people in our year. No one that I like"

"Well you never know" I replied while giggling

Once we reached college the teacher took the register and a few minutes later the coach arrived.

"Safiya let's sit at the back"

"Yeah definitely"

Teacher: "Okay boys and girls let's get going"

A sudden shove pushed me to the side "Ouchh"

"Oops"
I looked to my side and saw Dina with a smug little smile on her face

"I was just passing by you"

I rolled my eyes at her patheticness and stepped aside to let her and Jessica get on the coach first. Wasting my energy in the morning over her wasn't worth it. A few others pushed in the way so Saf and I ended up with the middle seats.
