Not Alone Anymore (Hunter)

Hunter x Fem!Witch!Reader

Hunter worked alone. He was the only Golden Guard and his missions were completely single. But then there was another teen prodigy. And he had to work with someone. 

Y/N. He hadn't seen her face yet, and she hadn't seen his until they had met that human. Hunter would be lying is he said he didn't find Y/N attractive. But he wasn't going to admit that. 

They're missions started being incomplete because  couldn't stop bickering about how to do every little thing. Then Y/N realized that he was a powerless witch and always teased him about it. Hunter never responded to it, and Y/N would stop, not finding any fun in it. 

When she found out Hunter was going to Eclipse Lake, she tagged along just for fun. As soon as they got captured, she regretted it. Then Kikimora found out they were also there. 

"Wait!" Hunter pleads. "Untie us. Please."

Amity Blight hesitates the unties them. "Where will you two go now?"

"Now..." Hunter sweeps Amity's legs out from under her and runs away with Y/N. "I'll get to Eclipse Lake before you. Byeee!" 

Y/N laughs and climbs in after him, sticking her tongue out at Amity and pulling down an eyelid. Hunter notices her get in the same cart as him. 

"Ugh! Y/N, get your own cart!"

"Where the fuck do you expect me to get another cart. Out of my ass?" 

"I don't know. Magic one up!" 

"I don't have any abomination slime!" 

The couple bicker until they notice Kikimora approaching. 

"Ugh, this is your fault!" Hunter accuses. 

"MY fault? She recognized your annoying voice."

"Whatever, just do something." 

"No." Y/N crosses her arms.

"Titan, you're so fucking petty. Fine, do you want an apology? Sorry." 

"Now tell me I'm pretty." Y/N blinks with a smile. 

Hunter's ears go red. "What?"

"Do it or we're going to get caught." Y/N nods at the approaching abomination cart.

"Fine, you're pretty."

"Thank you." Y/N draws a huge circle in the air and the ceiling behind them crashes down, blocking Kikimora. Y/N cackles as Kikimora screams. "You're welcome."

Kikimora eventually caught up again but they were easy to beat again. Hunter and Y/N reach Eclipse Lake only to find it completely empty. 

"Wha...?" Y/N looks around in confusion. 

"No." Hunter whispers. His chin wobbles and he slowly walks up to the middle of the lake. Y/N watches him, unsure on what to do. I mean, sure, she hated him, but she couldn't help but want to make him feel better. Or maybe she actually didn't hate him at all. 

Hunter drops to his knees and starts digging. 

Y/N stands next to him and puts a hand on his shoulder. He just shrugs it off. "Hunter-"

Footsteps stop Y/N. She whips around and gets in a defensive position. Amity holds out her staff.

"Don't worry." Hunter says. "I'm not going to pick a fight. There's no titian blood." I glance at Hunter and relax out of my defensive position. 

"Then why are you digging?"

"Oh it's simple. Bells needs the titan blood. Can't get to the human realm without it." Hunter explains about not being able to disappoint Belos again. "Long story short, this is my grave. Want me to make you one too?" Hunter asks me. I give him a little shake if my head, still a little freaked out.

"This is really bugging me out." The demon says.

"That's just life, rat. Everyone has a use and if you don't..." Hunter blows raspberries. "Bye Bye! Your friend understands."

Y/N looks at Hunter in concern. He lays face down in the dirt and brings some up to his head. The red bird palasman pills on his hair. 

"Go find a better witch to be with." Hunter whines.

Y/N sighs and lays down next to hunter on her back, staring at the roof. 

"What are you doing?" Hunter's muffed voice says. 

"Laying down. You said this is our grave." 

"No, it's my grave. Go away." 

"Nah." Y/N smiles.

Hunter sits up angrily. "Y/N, you have a whole life if front of you. You haven't disappointed Belos at all and you don't even care about me. All we do is fight. So why won't you just leave me alone?"

"Because I love you." Y/N admit with a kind smile.

Hunter stops with his lips slightly apart. He scoffs and lays down on his back. "You're so weird." He says while intertwining their hands.
