Douxie x Fem!Reader

Y/N sits up in bed, drenched in sweat. She sighs, putting her head in her hands when she realizes she's safe in her apartment. She moves her hair back, sighing again, and looks at her sleeping boyfriend. 

Douxie's chest rises and falls, telling Y/N he was alive. 

She gets up to get a drink of water, checking on Nari to make sure she was there. Y/N plops on the couch, turning on the TV. There was no way she would get to sleep soon. After a few minutes, a tried Douxie walks out of their bedroom.  

"Love? What are you doing out here?" He asks, sleepiness in his voice and his eyes barely open.

"Had a nightmare." Y/N answers. 

Douxie sits next to Y/N, hugging her and laying her head on his chest, putting his head on top of hers. Y/N giggles. Douxie could never get enough cuddles. 

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

Y/N frowns, softening in his arms. "It was the same as last time. You didn't come back and the Arcane Order got Nari."

Douxie hums taking a deep breath and saying, "Well, I'm obviously hugging you right now, so I'm not dead. And Nari is sleeping in her bed." 

Y/N sighs, tearing up and hugging Douxie back. "I know."

Douxie feels her tears in his shirt and wakes up more. "Hey, hey, hey. Darling, it's okay." He rubs circles on her back. "I'm sorry. You told me to be careful and I was being reckless, almost costing me my life. But I came back!" Douxie whispers. "Look at me." He pulls Y/N in front of him and looks her in the eye. 

"I'm alive. I'm not dead. I'm not a ghost."

Y/N sobs, wiping her eyes. "I know. I know."

Douxie hugs Y/N again, giving her a kiss on the top of her head. Y/N calms down after a while with comforting words and back rubs from Douxie. 

Douxie puts his hands on Y/N's cheeks and makes her look at him. He smiles, wiping her tears with his thumb. "It's going to be okay. I'm not going to leave you again. I love you." 

Y/N smiles at him and leans into his hand. The two share a sweet but long kiss. "I love you, too."

Douxie kisses Y/N's forehead again. "Come on." Douxie stands up and pulls up Y/N up with him. 

"What?" Y/n asks. Douxie doesn't answer but grabs his phone, checking on Nari again. He grabs Y/N's hand and a blanket. "Doux, Where are we going? We're still in our pjs."

"You'll see." 

Douxie walks over to the stairs. He brings Y/N up to the rooftop. By now, Y/N knew what he was doing.

Douxie lays the blanket down and sits on it, dragging Y/N down with him. He lays down and brings Y/N to his chest. 

"I know it's not as good as when we went on your roof in Arcadia, but it's still good." Douxie says.

"It's just as good."

"Why? The city barely ever shuts it light off so we can-"

"Because it's just us two. Just like back in Arcadia."

Douxie chuckles and gives Y/N a kiss on her head. "I love you."

"Love you, too, Doux."
