Disorientation.

Is not a good feeling.
I don't know how many hours I've been lying here but, I feel horrible. Like someone has just ripped open my chest.

"Oh (y/n)! OH MY GOD (Y/N)!" A frantic voice hollered.

Who was she talking to?
Is that- wait...that's my name.
My eyelids parted from each other as my vision cleared. Another women runs to my side, planting my face with million yens' worth of kisses, their warmth almost transmitting to me. My vision blurs slightly, as colors and faces start coming together again.
Hospital.
What the fuck am I doing in a hospital?!
"What's going on- why can't I move..." I squirm in the bed, attempting to sit up.
"No, no, no! You have to get rest, it's gonna be hard to function with those for a while." She points at my chest.

My head goes blank and a ocean of fear starts rising up in my throat. "Something's off..."
I can recognize Haru in the corner, she's whispering what sounds like a prayer, her tears bouncing off her pale skin.
She look as if she hasn't eaten for days.

"DOCTOR! Doctor! Someone please come look at her!" My mother (the woman who kissed me earlier) hollered into the hallway.
She looked frantic, enough for her to leave the room and go searching for hospital staff.

The room went silent as my mom left.
Haru stared at me, still teary-eyed. It was as if she didn't even believe I was real.
"Uh, what happened t-"
Before I could finish my sentence she rushed over to my side, hugging me as her tears seep into my chest. "The surgery was successful...I'm so g-glad you're okay again." she mumbled.

"What fucking surgery???"
I wanted to scream.

"You're probably so confused," Haru stopped herself, I could see her hold back, "listen, you had Hanahaki."
The word gave me goosebumps so fast I felt it run up my face in the matter of seconds.
Memories started rushing back to me, yet at the same time, they remained incomplete.
Something was missing...
No someone.
Someone's not here.
