Sakusa had a familiar warmth about him that he didn't seem to notice.

You usually wouldn't cling onto a guy's arm, but you didn't even hesitate with him. And for once he didn't seem to mind at all.

These days were gloomy and drenched with an awful amount of rain.

The type that ripped you off your feet and suffocated you with the harsh force of the water-droplets.
You just wanted to go home.
Plus you were sick.
The concept of Hanahaki truly was terrifying.
But surgery?
That too in your lungs?
The scars would be terrible.
The pain...
Not just physically.
You'll lose him too...

Those feelings cannot return once the disease is cured from surgery.
For the rest of your life, you wouldn't be prohibited to ever "love" Sakusa again.
It doesn't sound that bad to passers by, but when its you...it hurts.
Your parents were workaholics and barely had any time to check up on you.

Besides, if they figured out, you would be forced to have that surgery.

Thus, as these thoughts occurred in your head, you trudged in the rain, a clear umbrella somewhat protecting you from the now, gentle drizzle of rain. Being with Sakusa was a form of distraction. Plus it was nice to get out every once in a while.

Deciding that a rainy day walk wasn't the best idea, you turned the corner to the public library. It could keep you warm, at least until the rain stopped. Sakusa slipped out of your grasp by instinct, confused by where you were heading. For some reason a nervous pit hit your gut when he let go of you.

"Do you need to study or something?"
He asked raising an eyebrow.

You shook your head. "My house is still another 20 minute walk, I'd rather wait here till the rain stops." you suggested, sniffling.

Letting out a soft "ah...I see."
He found himself following you inside.

The library wasn't necessarily crowded, but wasn't quite empty either. There were people scattered around the tables, children climbing ladders to reach books on the top shelves and librarians helping people check-out.
Sakusa followed you aimlessly, shuffling his feet as you two made it to the children's reading nook.
"Now what the fuck are we doing here?"
He asked, his voice still muffled by the mask.
"What?" you paused. "Am i the only one who liked to sit on beanbags while reading?"
He rolled his eyes, thinking the gesture was rather childish, but he ignored it, slipping into a kid-sized chair near the beanbags.
His long legs had to be spread out so they didn't cramp up.
The book nook was adorable.
Decorated by little fairy lights and multiple soft sofas and seating arrangements, it was a pleasant place to wind down.
