I do not own Attack on Titan or any of the characters mentioned.

(Levi P.O.V.)
I opened my eyes to darkness. I looked to my clock to see that it was a little past nine o' clock. I slept for three hours? Oh god. I sat up and yawned. That nap really did wonders with my mood.

Getting out of bed was a difficult task because I could barely put pressure on my foot but I managed to get up and make my way out of my room.

"Eren?" I called when I got to the stairs.

I heard footsteps approach and said teen appeared at the bottom of the stair well. "Oh hey, you're awake, do you feel better?"

"Yeah, thanks to you."

He came up the stairs and picked me up. "No problem, I'm always willing to help."

He took me into the kitchen and sat me at the table. "Do you have anything I can make dinner with?"

"It's all vegetables, dairy, and a little fish."

"Oh right you're a vegetarian, I can work with that."

Eren set to work on making food. I had asked him what he wass king but he replied with 'I'm not going to tell you.' So here I was, drinking some water, waiting for the food to get finished. I had to admit that the kitchen smelled wonderful.

"Who taught you how to cook?"

Eren turned to me and smiled. "My mom taught me a few things before she passed away, she always got onto me for throwing flour at her."

I laughed. "Why did you do that?"

"Because it never failed to get her to throw flour back and we'd have an all out war."

"Your mother sounded like a wonderful woman."

He turned back to his cooking. I couldn't read his expression but I'd place my bet that it was one of sadness.

"She was, what about your mom."

I sighed. "My mother was very specific on how I should act and what I should like, I never really got along with her."

I smiled and ran a hand through my hair. "But she was always there for me at the end of the day, it hurt like a bitch when her and my father died but I didn't cry."

Eren turned back to me as he carried two plates over and sat them down. He took the seat next to me and asked, "Why didn't you cry?"

"I wasn't strong enough to break down, breaking down takes a lot of strength and at that time I just didn't have that."

"I see but now that you have opened up, that you have let go, have you become stronger?" He asked and took a bite of his chef salad.

"That's the thing, Eren, you never really know how strong you've become until that one moment when all of the pressure is on you and you handle it so well that it's inhuman." I said.

It's a very hard task to achieve because a lot of people do not handle stress well. They would do anything to get rid of the feeling of hopelessness that comes along with it. Some would just find a way out of the situation but then you have people like me who would run into stressful situations without a second thought.

"How do you handle pressure, Levi, what calms you down?"

"Venting."

Eren laughed at my joke. "Seriously though, what?"

"In the past I would have gone for a walk to the park that is right below the Eiffel Tower. It was a calming place to get rid of thoughts."

"I'd like to go to France one of these days." Eren commented.
