I do not own Attack on Titan or any of the characters mentioned
(Levi P.O.V.)
Wait, what? My eyes widened, clearly taken aback by that question. He wants to go with me? Really? Why? All of these confusing thoughts ran through my head and I forgot that Eren was still waiting for an answer.
Eren got a worried look on his face and looked down at his feet. "I mean if you don't want-"
"I'll go." Those words. Those two little words were out of my mouth before I could stop them. Dammit what was wrong with me?
His face brightened up as he threw his arms around my neck. "Thank you."
My arms wrapped around his back as if they had a mind of their own. It just felt right. I couldn't get over the fact that I felt warmer in his arms.
We stood there in each other's arms, both forgetting the fact that class was just about to start. "Eren?"
"Hm?"
"You're going to be late."
He pulled away almost reluctantly. How come? Was the question that rang through my head. He let his hand linger on mine for a few more moments before he walked away to his next class.
My mind was in a fuzzy state as I sat through my fifth period class. I replayed what happened with Eren. My lips turned up a little as I remembered how my hand felt right in his. I loved him. I really loved him. I frowned as I remembered what Armin told me.
'Look, Levi, Eren is the person you need to talk about this to.'
Dammit. I guess I'll have to, but when? I guess this weekend wouldn't hurt. It gives me time to prepare at least.
I gathered all of my things and went to my final class. I didn't have anyone I knew in this class so I just zoned out and didn't really pay attention to what we were supposed to know. I didn't care much for Science. There was just no interest in the subject, I actually hate it just as much as math.
Class droned on until the bell finally rang. I gathered all of my things and left the class before anyone else. I wanted to get out of the school quickly. I was not a fan of big crowds. They make me uncomfortable. When I got outside I was fighting the zipper on my back pack. Everything was fine until my foot caught the last step and I tripped. The bottom half of my body made contact with the ground but something caught my head before it met the same fate.
"Levi, are you okay?"
I looked up into Eren's eyes to see them filled with worry. I winced as I moved my feet. "No, I think I sprained my right ankle." I tried moving said limb but winced when a pain shot up my foot.
"Can you walk?" He helped me to my feet and I tried to put a little pressure on my ankle but instantly stopped after coming to the conclusion that, no, I could not walk on my own.
Eren was being so helpful and calm about this. He slung my back pack over his shoulder and hooked his arms around me, holding me bridal style. Any other time that this would have happened I would have punched the shit out of someone but if it was him it was okay.
Eren chuckled. "If I knew any better I'd say you did that on purpose to get out of the dance."
"I wouldn't have gone to such extreme measures like that. Am I that bad of a person?" I asked and leaned my head on his shoulder.
He placed his cheek on the top of my head. "No, I'd say you are an amazing person, Levi."
He continued to carry me down the side walk. How was he so strong anyways? I didn't know. People who were near gave us a second glance. Some people smiled and others looked at us in disgust. I glared at those people. They pissed me off the most.
"Levi, your tense."
"I'm in pain, of course I'm tense." I muttered into his shoulder.
"No, your mad."
I looked up at him and sighed knowing he wanted an answer.
"Do you see the people who stare at us in disgust?" He nodded.
"They piss me off," I continued, "Why do we live in a world if hate like this? Why can't there be more acceptance? Everyday I go through life wondering why people are like them." I said and pointed to a certain man who muttered 'faggots' as he passed by.
Eren smiled. "Your heart is a wonderful, mysterious thing, Levi."
I was going to say something but he continued. "But I do agree with you. Life sucks and we can't do anything about it except watch as the society that we have built fall apart before our eyes. It's complete and utter bull shit that people get pinned down because of the way they are."
I stared in shock.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing, that was just how I think."
We arrived at my place. With little effort, Eren opened the door and walked me into the living room. He sat me on the couch and went into the kitchen where I pointed out I had an ice pack. Once he brought it back he sat next to me and placed the pack on my ankle that was now propped on his knee and some couch pillows.
"Is the pain lightening yet?"
"Yeah, it's still there but it feels a lot better now, thank you."
"No problem, are you going to be alright on your own tonight?"
This is where I was stumped. I knew that if I put too much pressure on my foot then it would worsen but I didn't want to cause anymore problems for him.
"Levi, it's alright to ask me for things."
"C-could..could you stay the night?" He nodded then leaned back on the sofa.
"Anytime, all you have to do is ask and I'll do it."
I nodded then shifted to my side. My couch was comfortable but I preferred my bed. "Eren?"
"Hm?"
"Can you carry me to my room?"
He gently removed my foot from his knee and got up. He picked me up, as he did before, and carried me upstairs.
"Which one is it?"
"Second door on the right."
He walked in and sat me on my bed. I pulled the blanket over me and sighed in content. Eren sat down beside me with his back against the head board.
"Your place is nice." He commented.
My house was two stories with enough room for everything that I owned. My room was very old fashioned. Like that of a victorian room. The gold patterned red walls were my favorite. The bed was king-sized with grey sheets and black pillows. I had a mahogany dresser in the other side of the room and a medium table out on the balcony where I usually drank tea. Yeah, this place really was nice.
"I like the grand piano downstairs." I commented, "Music is the best thing to ever exist."
"I didn't see the piano."
"Go look at it then, it's in the room off the dinning area."
I felt the bed shift and Eren walked out I the room. I trusted him enough to let him wander around so I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
