MEGAERA COULDN'T BE MORE NERVOUS.

She stared at her ceiling that morning, the next day. Dreading when the clock would struck 9 in the night, because that meant that the hour had come.

She grabbed a pillow and smashed it to her face, releasing a shout of frustration on to it. She feared and hated every little aspect of the situation she has found herself in. She didn't have a choice, it was either she did it or she did it. She doesn't want this, she doesn't want to kiss up to a vile creature, she wants to stop feeling so powerless in her own life.

She dragged her body away from the comfort of her bed and went into the bathroom to get ready for this dreadful day.

At breakfast, she felt like she couldn't even keep down her morning tea so she gave up of trying to drink it after a couple of sips.

It was only her and her mother at the dining table today, the two of them looking incredibly small in the big twenty seater table.

"Are you done with your tea, dear?" Her mother questioned, breaking the silence.

"Yes, Mother"

"But you have barely touch it" her mother eyed her cup, comparing it to her daughter's.

"I know, I'm just not really hungry this particular morning, Mother." Megaera gave her a tight lip smile, her hands shaking in her lap underneath the table.

She tried to stop the frantic shaking with interwining her fingers together, but to no avail the shaking didn't stop.

"I see". Her mother looked at her with wonder, not an ounce of concern present in her face. "Good then. The less you eat the better" her mother gave her an innocent smile and small shrug. Caring less about the lack of appetite of her daughter.

Her mother also didn't care during lunchtime, when Megaera also skipped her tea. Her mother didn't pay mind that Megaera hadn't eaten anything all day, and neither did Megaera.

***

She had been staring blankly at the wall for the past three hours.

She was mostly anxious because she didn't know what she would do. Bellatrix only said a "task", but it frustrated  her to no end not knowing what was the supposed "task" .

The Dark Lord was known for being ruthless and bortherline psychotic. Megaera just prayed to Merlin that she wouldn't meet him today.

In 10 minutes her brother would come into her room to retrieve her with the rest of her family.

In 10 minutes she would be on her way to the meeting.

In 10 minutes her life will change.

When the clock struck 9, the sound resonated through the Manor. And just in time there were three short knocks on her door. Megaera opened it just to be met with the cold eyes of her brother, Amycus.

"Let's go. Mother and Father are already with Bella and Alecto". Her brother made his way inside her room and standing in the middle of it, he looked expectantly at Megaera. She sighed and made her way to him, taking the extended arm of her brother, bracing herself for the gut churning feeling of apparition.

With a swish of Amycus's wand, they were back at the same dark room from the day before. And same disturbing feeling was crawling up her spine.
