Ch 24

Raven POV
We got to take them home after a few weeks, the shock hadn't worn off of Kelly as she was still in a lot of pain. I didn't blame her, Carly was her sister maybe not biological but family isn't always blood. They were family, they loved each other more than anything in the world and Carly was taken from her. Right from underneath everyone's noses. Nobody knew the pain Carly had gone through when she died. Nobody understood how painful it was too lose her like Kelly did.

She was a role model, she was a big sister, she was the daughter to the royal family, she was Leo's girlfriend, she was an amazing human being. She deserved the world, she was anything but selfish. She chose to give up her life so that her children could live. The world would keep moving after people grieved her death but she won't be forgotten. We promised her in the letter she left for us that we would tell her children all about her.

I was rocking star around, she looked so much like Carly and Leo. The top of her hair was brown like Carlys but then it went into a redish color towards the bottom. Her eyes were blue. They were a beautiful blue that you could easily get lost in if you stared for too long. I could tell immediately that she would represent both of her parents well....even if they wouldn't be there for her.

Me and Kelly would do our best to try and raise them. Tell them everything we know about their parents, how brave they both were. All the stories and adventures we went on.

Kelly was in her room...she hadn't come out in a few hours. I wasn't worried, she was grieving. She deserves to grieve, she lost a close loved one. Everyone here loved Carly, she didn't deserve to die. She deserves to raise these kids, but there's nothing we can do about it now...she's dead

Jace, a splitting image of Carly, but the eyes were all leo. He looked exactly like her except the eyes. He definitely had Leo's eyes. He was sleeping in his crib after I had got him down. Star refused to sleep, she was just laying in my arms. They both knew something was wrong, they both knew me and Kelly weren't there parents.

Raven: Star...I know your just a baby and that you can't understand a word I'm saying
I started slightly laughing at the end, trying not to cry. I had been doing that a lot lately and I don't think I can do it anymore.

Raven: but your mom and dad love you, they just can't be with you for reasons you'll understand when your older...but I promise you they love you and your brother so much. You and Jace mean the world to your parents, and I promise you and jace I will do right by you.,.me and Kelly will take care of you the best we can

I was crying at this point, tears streaming down my face as I was starting to get a stabbing headache. The doctors had tried to contact Leo but no luck. I wasn't surprised.

I glanced up when Jace started to move, he had been fussing for awhile. I didn't understand why. I don't blame kelly for barely helping, she was terribly grieving.

I looked up when the door to the nursery opened and that's when I realized I was so lost in my train of thought I hadn't realized Jace had started crying. I glanced up at the door and saw Kelly standing there.

In her pajamas, her eyes were so red and puffy she hadn't stopped crying, her hair was sticking up everywhere. But In all of her mess she still looked beautiful. Standing there, she was beautiful in her disaster state. She watched me as I stared at her for a moment.

Raven: I'm sorry, I'll get him you go back to bed...
I watched as she started walking towards Jace, I walked forward and grabbed her arm with just free hand and held it, stopping her from walking closer.

Raven: honestly Kelly go to bed, I can get him to sleep I promise, just please go to bed you look so tired
I tried pleading with her but she just pulled herself out of my grasp and walked over to Jace. She stood over him for a moment and let out a shaky breath. She slowly reached down and picked him up in her arms. I watched as she started to cry again. Holding him close to her chest. His crying had stopped and he was listening to her heartbeat and cries.

Raven: please go to bed
I said calmly. She made eye contact with me and gave me a small sad smile.

Kelly: I'm fine Raven...I promise
She said, her voice cracking as she spoke. I nodded, knowing I wouldn't be able to change her mind. We both rocked them to sleep, not speaking to each other as we put them down and we left the room. Once we left she stopped me before we went out separate ways. She grabbed into my arm and held it.

Raven: what's wrong?
I questioned. I knew what was wrong but she had never actually spoken to me about it.

Kelly: please come with me
She mumbled, not making eye contact with me. I nodded snd followed her to her room. When I walked in, my heart broke into a million more pieces. Her room was a mess, everything was a disaster. Destroyed. I stopped in the doorway and she noticed immediately.

Kelly: I just...don't trust myself being alone right now...
She mumbled, looking down sadly. My eyes met hers and I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her. I pulled her in for a long hug. She held into me and cried into my shirt.

Raven: I'm so sorry...I know this is hard on you and trust me it is for me too but listen, she's happy. She okay, Kelly I promise you

She nodded, holding onto me tightly. I lightly move us and we sat on her bed as she laid her head in my lap sobbing.

Kelly: it hurts so much Raven...she didn't deserve what happened to her, I wish I had known I could've done something....anything and she might still be here

I ran my fingers through her hair, it calmed her I knew that. She was still crying In her sleep but it wasn't as bad as before.

Raven: I promise you, everything will get better and that might not be now or tomorrow or anytime soon. But you will be happy again I promise you that

A/N- hey guys I hope you enjoyed this sad chapter. I'm so sorry for making Carly die and we still haven't heard Leo's reaction so be prepared for that coming soon.
