Ch 27

Raven POV
"Raven where the hell are you going!?" Kelly yelled after me. I couldn't listen at the moment I was already almost out the door before she grabbed my arm.

"Think about this Raven! You can't just go and run down to the prison to see him!"

"Yes I can!"

"Oh really!? And what're you going to say to him! What can you say to him! Tell him what happened to Carly! Tell him about his kids! Raven this isn't a good idea!"

"Their his kids kelly...he should get to see them"

"Oh i didn't know he had been helping us watch them for the last what was it? 3 weeks I think?" Her sarcasm was coming through and I knew she was on the edge at that moment. She never spoke about her sister in vain like that before. She never talked about leo like that before but she did...and she had a right to say that but we are co-parenting for the parents that aren't here.

So I get a say as well...maybe less of one but I still get one.

"Kelly please hear me out...we should let him Atleast see them. We should try and explain what happened, I mean he's the father he shouldn't be kept in the dark like this"

"Raven! Your letting your love for him get in the way of what's right! He's a shitty person! And he didn't even want to raise these kids! He left and now he wants to see them, is that not suspicious to you!? Are you that dense!?"

"Ooh keep fighting this is funny"

"Shut up Ramona!" Me and Kelly both yelled in annoyance. She had ever right to be mad I just thought that maybe she would understand.

"Kelly we are partners in this..we need to do what's best for the kids-"

"And maybe what's best for them is not seeing their father" My heart slightly crushed at those words...knowing that she didn't actually mean them and she was just upset.

"Kelly please...let's talk about this"

"No. I'm done talking about this Raven...he is and never will be the father to these kids. He left them and Carly in their own and didn't even look back for them until now...3 weeks after she's dead, does that sound like a good father to you?"

"I get your upset and I am too, I just want to know what he wants" I was trying my best to reason with her but it was barely any use knowing she wouldn't give up.

"If I can give my input here" the harsh words of king Tom speaking just pissed us off even more.

"Don't want it" I said.

"Raven listen to me-"

"King Tom would you shut the fuck up for once in your pathetic excuse of a life!" My head shots up at kelly, she never liked to curse especially like this or more less at her adoptive father. It was a surprise to hear her do that.

"Kelly-" He started with a shocked expression as she had turned to face him. She scoffed at him.

"What? What're you going to say? You-"

"When your sister was around you were so much nicer...I can see how far you've fallen" Silence fell...cold hard silence fell after those words were spoken. A harsh slap was later added by queen Sophie but nothing could match Kelly's face. How she felt it was like radiating off of her.

"How could you say that!?" Those words were a hushed whisper which gave us everything we needed to know. All unspoken words were said in that moment even if they were all silent.

"We swore we wouldn't say that Tom" Ramona added in a mocking Sophie voice.

"Ramona!" Queen Sophie hissed as she glanced over at us with a look of panic on her face.

"So it's true...you think I've...fallen!?" Kelly asked, the heartache in her voice killed me to hear. I took a step towards her side and stood next to her. There was nothing I could say to make this situation better for her. I knew that.

"Kelly...it's nothing against you it's just my dear you've...changed...your mean now..." Wow that was so great choice of wording. Fucking dumb assess.

"You used to be so sweet...what happened to her?"

"What happened to her!?" Kelly repeated almost as if she was going through a existential crisis. It wasn't easy to hear those words repeated by her. I nearly flinched as she took a step back, backing away from us.

"You wanna know what happened to her! This mean girl right here lost her sister! Her sister who she loved so dearly! Do you think that was easy!?"

"Well dear I lost a daughter! Do you think that was easy for me! NO! But do you see me acting out in anger!!"

"Acting out in anger! She was never your daughter! You didn't love her like I did! You never cared for her like me! Who the fuck do you think you are!?"

"I am the king of the-"

"GET OUT!" I yelled, breaking up the fight before it really hurt anyone. Everyone fell silent.

"What..?" They both said. I looked over at Kelly and stared at her with a hard expression. It was unmatched and I couldn't believe what I was about to do.

"Kelly, I'm sorry" She drew in a gasp and held it as she was unable to look at me.

"For arguing with you about Leo, you might be right. Tom, Sophie and Ramona...get out of this house"

"You can't do that! Raven I am your father!"

"Did I ask for your opinion?" I said looking over at him. With a cold expression.

"Get out of this house and find someone else who will deal with your fucking bullshit cause I won't stand for you to disrespect Kelly like that... get the fuck out before I have the guards chase you down" The surprise in their faces was funny especially when it turned to panic and they turned and sprinted. Running out of the castle quicker than I expected.

"Why did you do that...?" Kelly mumbled from behind me. I closed my eyes and drew in a long breath.

"You shouldn't be disrespected like that and I won't listen to those bastards say that shit about you" I responded simply. I glanced at her and saw her nod silently. I started to make my way behind the thrones to the baby play room. Before Kelly called out to me.

"Raven..."

"Yes Kelly?"

"Let's go see Leo"
