Chapter 1: The New Neighbors

Jung Haneul's POV

"Haneul-ah, can you check who's that please?" Eunmi said as she was still frying the eggs that we will be having for our breakfast before we all go to our respective works. Ari and Chaerin are still upstairs and getting ready for work.

I only hummed to acknowledge and went to go outside where someone was ringing the doorbell. As I was going towards the door, Ari came down in a hurry and opened the camera that's connected outside of our gate instead to check who's outside first. On the camera faced a guy with dimples and something inside me said that he seemed familiar. I think he's familiar, I'm just not sure why.

"Hello, how may we help you?" Ari asked the guy outside through the device.

[Hello, I'm Kim Namjoon, your new neighbor. We just moved in last night so we're walking around to give some rice cakes for our neighbors,] the dimpled-guy answered.

Oh, he's the guy that I talked with earlier. That's why he's familiar and I must say, now that I clearly see him, I wasn't wrong when I said that he's cute.

"I'll go out. Fix your buttons too, Ari!" I said and pointed at her misaligned buttons as I chuckled. She looked at her shirt and gave me a shy smile before arranging her misbuttoned shirt.

Outside the gate stood Namjoon and yet again, I was right. He's very tall and I suddenly felt so tiny in front of him but his tall height was not the only thing that surprised me but the people who stood behind him.

My body froze as I set my eyes back and forth on the two guys behind him. They're not just ordinary guys. They're Kim Seokjin and Kim Taehyung! Standing so close to them made me lose my sanity and my rational thinking for a second. I couldn't speak nor move as they looked back at me and smiled as they greeted me.

"Hi! You're Haneul, right? From last night?" Namjoon asked me and that snapped me back to my senses. I looked at him and he was still wearing that dimpled-smile that I saw on the monitor. Now that I'm standing close to him ㅡ face to face, he's not cute but rather, he's handsome. Handsome and tall and he actually smells so fresh.

I cleared my throat, looked at him, and smiled. "Oh, uhm, yeah. Hi," I greeted with my mind still clouded with the fact that Taehyung and Jin are close to me. I'm not a fan of them but the fact that they're one of the biggest stars in Korea still hits me differently now that they're just a meter or less away from me.

"You're cute. I'm Seokjin, by the way," He introduced and waved at me.

Oh gosh, did he really just waved at me?!

"Hi! It's Taehyung, in case you're still not aware," he introduced and gave out his hand for a shake. I immediately took it and introduced myself to them.

"He's our brother, in case you're wondering," Jin said and tapped Namjoon's shoulder.

The Kim brothers, Taehyung and Seokjin are well known for their visuals and talent, making them one of the biggest stars in Korea. I'm not really a fan so I don't know much about them.

Namjoon chuckled and handed me the box of rice cakes which I immediately accepted. "Thank you. Uhm, have you guys eaten your breakfast?"

"Uhm, no. But we're just about to," Namjoon answered.

I nodded.

"We won't mind having breakfast with you though," Jin said without any hesitation and that made Namjoon look at his brother. "Hyung!" He exclaimed as if scolding his brother with that.

Seokjin shrugged. "What? I'm just kidding!"

I chuckled and even if I just knew them, I felt at ease. Not because both Seokjin and Taehyung are celebrities but it's more because of the aura that they bring to me. It's very light and comfy. "Do you guys want to? I mean, I don't mind but probably some other time since we're kind of in a hurry. We have to go to work."
