I got a text from sofie( one of my colleague saying come to the office we are not going on a trip.
What? ,how can they cancel like that i said to myself while drinking my coffee
I went to the office...my floor where i was working..it is drop dead silence .
While i am going to my table, all are staring at me silently, i saw some other men in Jeremy's table instead of him
" Sofie, where is Jeremy? Why are you all silent , what happened" I asked her quietly
" Shhhh"
"Huh,, what?"
A huge muscled middle aged men walking to the the chairman's cabin
Everyone greeted him but he didn't even looked at us
" Who is he?" I turned my face and asked sofie
Peter mentioned about his dad before, this men is looking a little bit like peter maybe he is peter dad, i said to myself
He is back,He is the ceo of our company . Sofie said
We heard yelling voice from the chairman's cabin
" You are 21 now, i already told you to date someone, why are you like this peter, are you hiding anything from me, are you gay, peter replied " No dad" Then why are you single for so long....
(Peter looked at us from the glass wall and pulled the thread ..the curtains covered the glass wall)
Their argument continued for 15 min.
Then peter walked out with full of anger in his face.
30 min later
Mr.carter is calling you, katie...Peter's pa said to me
I walked with full of anxiety to chairman's room
" Excuse me sir "
He gave a signal to come in
" What's you name "
" Katie " I said, but he looked at me and said " Full name"
" Kathleen Hixson "
" Kathleen "
" Yes, sir "
" Ow, you are looking so young and your voice too, how old are you"?
" I turned 19 .three days back "
" Oh, i wonder how did you get this job, are you peter friend? , no no you can't be his friend, because he has only one friend jeremy, then are you peter girlfriend??"
"No,no Mr.carter" I said
He got a phone call, he said to me to leave
In the evening, everyone had already left the office, i packed everything to leave the office i got into the elevator, few seconds after Mr.carter also stepped into the elevator.
Suddenly after 15 sec.he fell on the ground.
" Mr carter, mr carter what happened to you "
" My -m medicine" He fainted
" Oh my god, ok, where is it? "
He pointed at the car
I pulled him out of the elevator and ran towards the car it is locked
i went back to him and asked him car Keys, he gave ot to me i unlocked the car, ...
I found the medicine, i gave it to him,
After consuming the pill he became unconscious.
Damn it, what should i do..i tried to lift him...but i gave up because he is so goddamn heavy.
Security, security, i shouted after 2 min one men came
I asked him to help to lift him, he did we put him in the car, i started the car,
" We went the nearest hospital "
After 2 hrs peter arrived to the hospital
" What happened katie, where is my dad"
" He is fine, the doctor said to give him some rest"
" Thank god "
The nurse came towards us and said "Mr.carter calling both of you "
We went into hospital room.
" Thank you katie, without your help i would have died today.." Mr.carter said with full of thankfulness in his eyes.
" Don't mention it sir " I said
" Where have you been all this time " His dad asked peter.
Peter didn't answer and looked down to the floor
Mr .carter looked at peter and said.."drop her at her house" .
" No, sir it's ok, i'll go by walk" I said
"Your house is far from this hospital, and it's already late at night "
It's 8 pm i Mumbled slowly
" What " Mr.carter said
" Nothing, sir " I said and left the room
Few seconds after peter came out of the room
We were going to my apartment in his car...in the middle of our to my apartment. The car broke down..
Peter got out of the car and checked it
" Its ok , i will go by walk from here i said and started to walk"
" I am gonna come with you "
" Ok "
We started to walk....
"So, where is jeremy?" I asked him
" As like is said before he didn't want any of my friends to work in his company , dad gonna again go to another country , then jeremy will come again "
" Ohhh, umm..i never heard parents saying children to date someone, your dad is different "
" He's worried about me, i didn't dated anyone.and i am already 21 ..my family has a superstition that the boy in the family have to marry when he gets 24 ".
" Ow, that's weird " .
After small conversation..i said
" Peter, umm..it's already mid August so i am going to join in college next week , so i will quit this job"
" Ow, i totally forgot about that, ok then "
My apartment arrived
He looked at me and said bye.his eyes sparkled in the dark because of the street light
I said bye and went into my apartment
"Why do you came, i thought you went a trip".Monica asked me
I told her what happened
" Oh, god i think you will never say to jeremy"
" I am trying monica, but its not happening, i don't know why "
I got a call from Jeremy.
I didn't answer.
So the next day i went to the office and resigned my job
