He took two steps towards me
"If you agree, first we will marry after one year we will separate our ways through divorce" He said
"Do you think it's gonna be that easy, we are literally competitors, what people gonna think? What mr.carter think about us,he will eventually know that we did this all as a plan, and what about my company during this 1 year" I said looking at him in the eyes
"Why are you linking your business and mine to our marriage? It's literally different topics even after our marriage we can continue our lives as like now,there's gonna be no change" He said
I still gave him the same look
"And for the divorce topic, we can easily get divorce there is no risk,and what do you mean by 'what do you think mr.carter gonna say' ,its it's upto us if we wann stay or leave, divorce these days is common shit., love is just a word and marriage is just a business these days" He scoffed
Did he just said 'love is just a word' if love is just a word then why does it hurts so much when i realize it isn't there anymore in my life.
*I nodded*leaving all this thoughts aside in the head
"Does that mean a yes??, so will you marry me??" He asked
"Yes" I said agreeing to him
" Oh, thanks kathleen" He said adding a smile to it
If this situation is not between us, the conversation just we had would be a wonderful memory for someone who is so in love with each other.
He held my hand and walked into ICU
I saw lexi besides mr.carter's bed
She gave a surprise look
I walked towards her
I gave a hug
kathleennn, when did you came back America??"she asked
"About an hour ago" I said with smile
"Ohh" She said and looked at harry
She got shook for a second for the fact that harry looks a lot like Peter
"Who is he??" She asked me
I remained silent because i don't know if i should say or not
"He is your brother" Mr.carter said
She gave a surprise and shock expression
" Hello," She said awkwardly
" Hai " He said with no expression
Mr.carter sat on his bed
" So ? He Asked
"We will get married" He said in a serious tone looking at the window
Mr.carter looked at me with a 'really' look
I nodded with forced smile
"Thank heavens,that would be so great, you two are perfect for each other" He said.
"What in the world you guys are talking about?" Lexi asked with confusion
"Harry and kathleen getting married" Mr.carter said to lexi
She remained silent for a second and gave a uncomfortable smile.
Mrs. carter looked at me and harry with disgust
"What's with her" Harry mumbled.
" I need to talk to my husband, if you don't mind can you guys give us a moment" Mr.s carter said
