Nick and his father were now face to face with the wall, blocking off the blinding light of the pearl.
"So, Nick, I'm having a bad feeling about this. What are we to do next?" His father asked in a hushed tone.
"Come here, dad. Mario has seen us." Nick said in a frightened voice, scurrying over the the back of a huge rock, his father following.
"Come out! I thought you weren't scared of me?!" Mario shouted in a mocking tone.
"I'm gonna show up, dad. Please, just stay here," Nick begged him father as he ran out.
"No, Nicholas!" Mr. Phillips shouted as he chased after him.
"Well, see the 'good father'" Mario scoffed, rolling his fiery eyes.
"You see there," Mario said, point in at the pearl, which was shooting a bright veam up into nothingness, "that pearl is currently causing doom on earth. It's breaking the barrier between hell and earth. In few hours, earth would be mine and the whole of humanity shall be wiped out." Mario let out a deep rumble of laughter as the pearl got brighter, making it hard for Nick to keep him eyes open.
"You can't! That would never happen. I will stop this, I swear it!" Nick screamed as he tried charging up to Mario but was stopped by his father's firm grip on his arms.
"I wouldn't go that far, boy. If you get fifty feet close to it, your blood will enhance it. That reminds me, it's your blood I need to finish this. Lukas!" Mario called.
"Yes, master, " Lukas, the vampire emerged, taking a bow.
"You see this two, feed on them again." Mario ordered, pointing at Nick and his dad.
"Sorry, master, we can't do that."
"You said what?" Mario slowly walked up to Lukas, his eyes burning into it as it backed away.
"No-no, I don't mean to not obey your orders. We nearly lost our lives drinking their blood." Lukas explained.
"I don't give a bloody damn if you die or not. All I need is his blood, even if it's in your damned body!" Mario roared.
Nick shook with fear as Lukas and Flixus walked up to them.
Mr. Phillips immediately stood in front of Nick, shielding him from the vampires.
Nick looked around, to look for how to stop the beam from the pearl.
He noticed that the pearl was on a pile of dead demons.
If he can get a good stick and a great shot at the pearl, he could stop it.
He looked around and saw a stack of weapons at a far end of the wall.
While his father distracted the demons, he ran.
He got the spear and threw.
Mario was quick to notice.
He sent a fiery bubble, which wrapped around Nick, stopping him, but the spear was still in flight.
Mario sent more bubbles, but the spear burst through everything.
It was just a matter of seconds for the spear to knock down the pearl.
In the strong shield of the bubble, Nick prayed the spear will hit the pearl.
Mario shot the deadliest glare at Nick as he quickly ran up to the vampires and flung them straight to the spear.
The spear thrusted into their chests, taking their lives as they dropped to the ground.
Mario didn't give a shit, as far as the spear was stopped.
