Nick ran to Mario, shouting "My family!" and placing the pearl on Mario's waiting hands.
Mario was shocked, but snatched the pearl.
"You fool! You just gave me your life," Mario simpered.
"Sorry, but you are wrong," Nick laughed.
Mario screamed as high voltages of electricity charged through him.
He couldn't release the pearl, it was like it was stuck to him.
This happened for long until the pearl's power died down.
Mario sprawled flat on the ground, his body smoking.
"Stop... This..." Mario begged in a very weak voice.
"I wouldn't!" Nick roared rushing over to Mario and snatching the pearl.
"I shall get that pearl no matter what," Mario whispered.
"Not on my watch, 'My Family!'" Nick thundered, placing the pearl on Mario's bare back.
"No...!" Mario cried, his body vibrating vigorously with white magic.
"I think that's enough Nick, the pearl's power is almost exhausted. Let's decide our next step," Erik spoke, walking over to pick up the pearl.
Mario groaned, "You'll never get away with this, I swear. "
"Let's see how you'll stop us with how weak you are," Mr. Phillips said, "Damn, I'm getting a roll on this superhero shit."
"Dad, we have to end this now. What should be our next step, Erik?" Nick asked.
"Now, we have to destroy the pearl, because I noticed that the weaker the pearl got, the weaker Mario became. So, I don't think it is a bad idea to destroy it, nevertheless, Mario wants it, and he won't get it!" Erik spoke with courage.
"How do we destroy it?" Mark asked.
"We have to combine all our good energy together to create enough force to at least crack the pearl, the pearl will destroy by itself once there is a slight crack on it."
"Okay, Erik, let's find Tereq so he can revive the others," Nick suggested.
"Okay, Sir, can you please help us with that while we set everything up?" Erik pleaded.
"Okay, I'll try my best." Mark obliged.
As Mark walked back to the façade to find Tereq, knowing he would be injured because of the great force he was flung off with.
He hadn't walked that far when he saw Tereq, sitting on the floor, with his back on a rock, and his head buried between his knees.
"Tereq?" Mark spoke softly, falling on his knees and tapping Tereq.
Tereq looked up.
No, this wasn't Tereq, this creature had suddenly changed, its face hollow and dark.
"Yes..." The creature drawled.
Mark quickly stood up and took a step back.
"Come on... it's me, I can help you," the demon smiled, stretching out its bony hands to Mario.
"No, this is not you, Tereq!" Mark shuddered, taking a step at a time backwards, till he had his back flush against a large rock.
Suddenly, more of this demons appeared, all walking slowly to him.
His heart was beating so fast and loud, but the sound was nothing compare to the slithering of the demon's limbs.
They all descended on Mark pulling him into the darkness, as he screamed powerfully for help.

"My father is in trouble!" Nick screamed in alarm as Erik just placed the pearl on two rocks.
"How? He'll be back soon, stop bothering yourself." Erik assured.
"No, Erik, I can feel it, he's in trouble and he needs help right away!" Nicholas cried, already heading for the path his dad followed.
"Nick, wait!" Erik called, chasing after Nick.
Just as Nick predicted, his dad was gone, but he saw his dad's shawl on the ground, with blood splattered on it.
"Oh no!" Nick cried, falling on his knees and burying his face into his arms.
"Why does this keep on happening? Victory to sorrow?! What the hell did I do wrong for shit's sake?!" Nick thundered.
"Don't worry, Nick, he wouldn't have gone that far. Let's just look around." Erik consoled Nick, equally stunned.
"You should never have sent my dad! It's all your fault!" Nick wept.
Erik walked ahead, looking for Nick's father.
He searched for minutes but was unsuccessful.
"What's your progress?" Nick asked bitterly as Erik came back.
Erik just bowed his head low, signalling negative.
"Let's finish this once and for all, and then my father will be safe wherever he is," Nick deadpanned, "where is the pearl?"
"Damn! I forgot it there!" Erio cursed.
"What the hell?!" Nick said in alarm.
"We need to get there as soon as possible."
