"How you want it love?" my beautician Tasha asked me as she had just finished washing my hair. Time was over due for Tasha to get a hold onto my head, because it was a mess. Especially after the couple of days Money and I spent out in California. My hair needed some miracle attention and Tasha was the only one I allowed to put her hands in it. She's been my hair stylist since I was a child. Whenever I could afford it, she'd do it and sometimes even when I couldn't, she'd still do it for me for free.
"I was thinking some box braids. It's been awhile and I just need something different. You can trim my hair and then start on the braids for me boo. Not too long, not too short, medium sized. That'll be fine Tash." I said giving her exactly what I wanted. I was tired of wearing my real hair all of the time, so I was going with something a bit more easy to manage. It's been forever since I had braids, so I decided to finally get some after so long.
This morning, I'd woken up early and gotten dressed. We'd gotten back just yesterday from our Week long trip. Today is now Friday and I had to start my weekend off right with treating myself to getting my hair done along with my girls. Bianca, Nicole, and Melanie had all come to get their hair done too with me.
When I got up this morning, I got dressed and everything without Money even waking up. I wanted to wake him to tell him I was leaving and where I was going, but I didn't want to wake him up. Daddy was tired, so I let him continued to get his rest. Yes, I stayed over at his place last night and I probably will tonight. I'm not giving up my place completely, but I will be spending nights back at the house with Money. Not like he leaves me much of a choice to begin with anyway. He's so damn controlling sometimes, well, all the time really.
"How you getting y'all hair?" I asked as I looked around the shop at my girls who were all situated in stylist chairs, getting done the fuck up. It was 10 booths in the shop, and we occupied 4 of those. Bianca was next to me, Nicole was across from me, and Mel was across from Bianca. We were in a perfect square, so we could still conversate. I didn't talk to any other one of these nosy hoes in here other than Tasha, so I was glad they came.
"I'm just getting permed, my highlights touched up, and a bob cut and curl on my real hair. Red doesn't like when I wear weave, so I'm not allowed to put it back in my head." Melanie said and we all looked at her in shock. I knew something was going on with the two of them, but didn't speak on it. Lord bless Red's heart, because when her brothers find out, it's sure to be hell.
"Girl, now you know your brothers gone raise all kinds of hell." Bianca said speaking my unspoken thought. We all laughed, because she was right. We all saw how he reacted when his mom got a new boo, well, it's gone be even worst when he find out his big sister got one too, and it happens to be one of his home boys. That's sure to be some good ass tea right there.
"Whatever, they are not my daddy. I'm a grown ass woman, I can do as I please. Anyway, this is a conversation for another time. We got too many nosy ass bitches in this shop that like to run and tell shit. No offence or disrespect to your shop Tasha." Melanie said sarcastically as she smirked. I shook my head and focused on Bianca as she spoke up.
