Chapter 15

RILEY POV

I saw Reece run over from where he was sitting and I instantly wanted to run away...but my wolf stopped me...she wanted her mate to come closer.

"Riley! Are you ok?" Reece exclaimed as he reached me. He grabbed my hand lightly and surprisingly I didn't pull away and he looked shocked for a second before his features softened once again as he looked at my hand.

In a slow move Reece brought my hand up to his mouth and kissed my bruised knuckles softly and as we watched my fingers straightened and the bruises disappeared...huh I guess mates do come in handy.

"Come on Riley, speak to me" Reece pleaded and I just stared at him softly...tears welling up in my eyes. I shone my head to get rid of them and Reece looked pained.

"I...I...I can't....I can't do this Reece!" I suddenly said sadly.

He just stared at me looking heartbroken and I just couldn't stand it, I picked up my school bag and ran out of the canteen and out of the school not caring what trouble I get into...

REECE POV

In a sudden decision I ran after her, not wanting to lose her!

"RILEY!!!" I screamed when I neared her.

She jolted as if electrocuted but turned around.

My heart nearly broke at the sight of her year stained face with her dark makeup smudged.

"Riley" I whimpered. I stared at her through glossy eyes and watched as she came closer.

SMACK! My head flew to the side and I glanced at her seeing her hand in a position known to nearly all women...the slapping position.

I cracked my jaw and said: "I deserved that"

She just glared "yes, yes you did!" she spat.

"Ri, I am so so sorry! I just wanted you to be mine" I begged.

"So you kissed that...that thing of a girl?!" She nearly screamed.

"I was trying to make you jealous! It was your brothers idea!" I said to my distraught mate.

"My brother" she said calmly.

I nodded.

"MY BROTHER?! My brother told you to kiss my worst enemy to make me jealous breaking my heart and my wolf in the process?!" She shouted more tears coming out of her eyes.

My heart broke and I fell to my knees, "I'm sorry, oh god I am so so sorry! Riley, I want to be with you, your my mate! I never meant to hurt you! In fact...I...I..." I struggled with my words.

"You what Reece? You want me to suffer? Done! You want me to cry? Done! You want me to-" I cut her off.

"I LOVE YOU GODDAMMIT! I LOVE YOU!!" I screamed.

This time she fell to her knees.

"What?" She whispered.

For a moment we just stared at each other...me getting lost in her beautiful eyes and her waiting for an answer. Around us rain began to fall and the sky became dark.

I raised my hand and placed it on my mates freezing cheek and I whispered to her: "I love you my darling, whether you want me or not...I will always love you"

Riley stared at me a minute more before raising her slim arms and placing them around my neck...she leaned in and said in my ear "I love you too, I know I shouldn't, and I wish I didn't, but I do..." her whispered words sent shivers down my spine. She pulled her cheek away from mine and gazed into my eyes, I tried to portray the love I feel for her so she can see...suddenly she leaned in once again, glancing at my lips, I wet them with my tongue as she got closer...and then her gorgeous soft lips were on mine and we were kissing softly at first then it became urgent and heated.

After a few minutes I realised she was shivering so I pulled back and took off my jacket and put it over her elegant shoulders, making her look up at me once again and I was struck by her pure beauty, the rain sticking to her long lashes and her pink lips swollen from my kisses.

I got up from my knees and pulled her up with me and said to her:

"Maybe we should get you home?"

She nodded and gave me one last peck before heading toward my car...

I have my mate...and she loves me...lets just hope I don't screw this up...
