Loki through the multiverse

After Asgard was destroyed Thor and Loki returned to Earth, not knowing where else to go with their people. Everyone was still very upset and troubled by the big war against the Goddess of Death, Hela. There was still no certainty if she was dead or not, but one thing was sure, that now no one else would disturb them. Thor was talking to his brother and his doubts about returning to Earth, knowing that he was not at all welcome on that planet that years before he had tried to conquer under the control of Thanos.
Thor: "Brother you don't have to worry about anything anymore, I'll talk to Stark! You'll see that this time everything will be fine, I can feel it"
he said with his usual proud smile, patting Loki on the shoulder. And actually Thor did so, he talked for a long time with Tony, while Loki listened a bit on the sidelines taking all the bad looks from his brother's friend.
Tony: "None of us want to take responsibility for who destroyed New York, but I know a person who is also trying to rehabilitate herself and who would gladly do it"
Tony explained, looking first at Thor and then at Loki.
Thor: "Of course! Who is this person?"
Thor asked enthusiastically as always
Tony: "My daughter y/n, she just moved in nearby and I think she is great for this task"
he said quietly, he trusted his daughter and knew that after what she had done she would immediately accept the task.
Loki: "A little girl? Are we kidding ?? Should a little girl be watching me ?!"
He said indignantly
Tony: "She's not a "little girl", she's the same age as your"
Tony said ironically
Loki: "I don't think she can be older than 200 years" Loki replied in the same tone
Tony: "Why? excuse me how old are you !?"
He said confused, he still had to learn that big age difference between them and the Gods of Asgard.
Thor: "Stark don't worry, you'll see they'll get away with it, from what I remember y/n is really smart and strong, she'll be able to stand up to Loki"
he smiled satisfied, following Tony out of the Tower with his brother. Loki thought that all this was really useless, in short, why a mortal had to control him like when he was a child? It was ridiculous! He was a prince, a king, he didn't have to be controlled, he had to control! Also from a simple human, he still couldn't believe it, he would go crazy on that planet sooner or later. Then he knew that for certain that human would surely have reproached him for what he had done years ago and would have given him the usual looks of distrust and hatred that everyone reserved for him since childhood. He also hoped that his brother had not talked about his true origins or that it would be other material that the girl would surely use against him to make him suffer. That coexistence had not even begun and he already hated it.
Tony: "well we arrived, Reindeer games try to behave well and if only you dare to hurt my daughter I swear that this time I'll break the drink in your head"
he said warning him, receiving only an annoyed look from the boy. Tony didn't wait any longer than he rang the doorbell, hoping his daughter hadn't already left, because in fact he hadn't warned her that he would come by, he never did.
Y/n: "I'm coming, I'm coming ..."
the girl said going to open very calmly. She had been up all night working and in fact she was now asleep when her father rang her doorbell. She wasn't in the best condition, she had all her hair messed up, still the pillow mark on her tired face and she was still in shorts and a bra.
Thor: "Lady Stark what a pleasure to see you again!" Thor said enthusiastically as always, hugging the girl.
Y/n: "Hello to you too Thor ..."
she said quite confused, she was still quite sleepy. Loki looked closely at the girl and almost let out a smile, was she the one who had to keep him under control? She did not seem so reliable and responsible, then it amused him a lot to see her in that state, aesthetically it was not bad at all.
Tony: "Hi y/n! Do you mind putting on something? Then is it two in the afternoon and you were still in bed?"
He asked confused, entering in the house, followed by the two brothers.
Y/n: "I went to sleep three hours ago Dad, I'd say I deserved a little rest,"
she said simply by doing a magic to settle down, putting on clean clothes, make-up and hair in order. Loki was really amazed by that, he had not yet seen Midgardians capable of doing that kind of magic, he knew they existed but he had not yet had the opportunity to know them, but apparently that girl was a sorceress like him, it would have been interesting to study her.
Y/n: "ok but wait ... I know Thor, I know you dad ... but him? Who is he?"
She asked as she took a cup of coffee, watching Loki closely.
Thor: "He is my brother, Loki. I told you a lot about him, do you remember?"
Thor said quietly, he was happy that his brother had the opportunity to redeem himself and finally feel accepted
Y/n: "ah yes of course! Yes yes now I have this. My pleasure Loki, I'm y/n"
she smiled holding out her hand, she had no problem with his past, she too had done things she was not really proud of. Loki frowned, observing her carefully, looking at every feature of her face and did not see what he expected: no fear, disgust, superiority, distrust or pity. In her he saw only curiosity and calm. He just did not expect it, it had surprised him a lot, so after a few seconds of hesitation he shook the girl's hand, but tried to remain impassive so as not to show that that first impression had really calmed him from a certain point of view.
Y/n: "So why are you all here?"
She asked curiously, returning to drink her hot drink
Tony:"You'll have to check Shakespeare here, so he won't destroy the Earth again, I don't want you to take your eyes off him even when he's asleep"
Tony said seriously enough.
Y/n: "What if he has to go to the bathroom?" She asked ironically winking at the boy, she knew how it felt to be marginalized by everyone and she didn't wish it on anyone. Loki started giggling really amused by all that, he didn't expect the girl to respond like that to the tin man, it was really unusual.
Tony: "No everywhere except in the bathroom ok? Y/n I want you to be serious from now okay?"
The father said scolding her a little, but not that much, in the end the daughter had the same character as him.
Thor: "Okay brother, good stay!"
Thor said, patting Loki on the shoulder, who rolled his eyes in response
Loki: "yes yes thank you, now go away thank you"
he snorted, but he gave him a small smile and Thor seemed to be more than happy with that.
Tony: "I'll be back in a week, if things don't go well we'll take action"
Tony said seriously enough, he still don't trust Loki at all, but he also know Kate was strong and smart enough to stop him in case he tried to conquer again the Earth.
Y/n: "Okay don't worry, everything will be great! Bye bye"
she smiled as she accompanied Thor and Tony to the door.
Loki: "Aren't you afraid of me? I could hurt you when you least expect it?"
Loki said as soon as they were alone, approaching her threateningly
Y/n: "Why? are you going to hurt me?"
She asked ironically, crossing her arms and looking at him curiously
Loki: "What ..? No"
he replied, being really perplexed, how could that girl be so calm in front of him!?
Y/n:"Then why should I be afraid of you?"
She chuckled quietly, going to make two cups of tea, leaving Loki surprised and tremendously confused Loki:"Now I'm starting to fear you little girl. What do you have in mind?!"
He said stopping her and holding her firmly by the wrist
Y/n:"Loki you're doing everything, I have nothing in mind but to make you feel comfortable on a planet not yours, after what happened in Asgard"
she said remaining too calm for Loki's taste, for him she couldn't don't hide something!
Loki: "I'm not going to trust you! I'll keep an eye on you Midgardian girl"
he said suspiciously
Y/n: "I should be keeping an eye on you, but go ahead call me y/n, we don't need all these nicknames"
she giggled, freeing herself from his grip to finally be able to make tea.
Loki:"I'll call you how I like"
he said sprawling on the sofa really exhausted from all that situation.
Y/n: "You are really grumpy, has anyone ever told you that?"
She sighed, bringing him a cup of tea too. Loki looked at her really badly and took the cup of tea, he didn't trust her at all.
Loki: "Give me your cup, I don't trust you"
he said surly and y/n rolled her eyes sighing, handing him her cup of tea
Loki: "Let's see if you can drink it anyway"
he smiled thinking he had caught her, mixing the drinks from the two cups, then passing one to the girl who was really satisfied with himself
Y/n:"Do whatever you want"
she shrugged, drinking the cup of tea the boy had passed her, sitting quietly on the sofa
Loki: "You are completely insane girl!!"
He said snatching the cup from her hands, he was more than convinced she was poisoned, he couldn't believe that someone trusted him and that she wasn't afraid!
Y/n: "What's wrong with you !? I can drink my damn tea without you going into paranoia!! It's not poisoned Loki, it's a simple drink"
she said bewildered, running a hand over her face Loki: "I don't believe it! You can't really be like that! You're trying to confuse my ideas!"
he said throwing the two cups on the floor, destroying them
Y/n:"Are you crazy !? They were my favorite cups" she said ironically, it really amused her to think that for the boy she was some kind of bad guy who was trying to kill him.
Loki: "Tell me immediately what you want from me ?!"
He said making a dagger appear and overhanging the girl on the sofa, pointing the weapon at her throat. He absolutely wanted to get to the bottom of that thing, he didn't believe even a single word of that girl. He was used to everyone pushing him away or mocking him and above all that they were afraid of him after everything he had done years ago. Although it wasn't entirely his fault what he had done on that planet, he felt less cowardly to take all the blame, it made him feel a little better about himself.
Y/n: "What is it, boy? Do I have to kiss you to make you understand that I am not afraid of you?"
She giggled amused, pulling him more to herself . She knew what had happened to him, had studied his files and listened to the testimonies of several people and his brother. Then a similar thing had happened to her and she understood it, for this very reason she was not afraid of him.
Loki: "Now I'll show you why you have to be afraid of me !!"
He said tightening his grip on her more, starting to hurt her, lifting her by force and banging her against the wall. All that was not acceptable to him! He was so used to being considered a monster, that by now he too had begun to believe himself one. He had seen a chance to redeem himself when he helped his brother against Hela, but then he had fallen into temptation again by stealing the Terresact and realized that there was really no chance for him.
Y/n: "Loki let's stop ..."
she said quite dazed by the blow to the head just received, staggering slightly. Why didn't he understand that not everyone was bad and that he too could trust someone ?!
Loki: "No I won't stop until you tell me the truth! You're just a silly mortal! I tried to take over your stupid planet years ago! You shouldn't even have agreed to have me at home!"
He said starting to get really nervous, he was extremely convinced that no one would want him anymore.
Y/n: "Okay! I know what really happened to the New York attack !! That's why I am not afraid of you, I know it was not your intention to hurt us and attack us! I know that you are good and that you don't want all this ! How I know that you are only wounded by all the pain that life has placed before you, that by now you don't even try to fight anymore! Because you are exactly like me! That's why I understand you and I don't fear you! "
She said almost screaming, freeing herself from his grip but still remaining against the wall, she didn't want to get to that, but now she had no choice or the boy would never believe her. Loki looked at her really confused and feeling like an idiot at that moment. He was doing it again; he was turning away one of the few people who tried to help him, just as he had done with his mother long ago.
Loki: "I ... what are you talking about ?!"
He said frowning, that wasn't exactly what he meant, he wanted to apologize for his really exaggerated behavior, but he was too proud to do so.
Y/n: "Let's sit down first ... it's a long story and I didn't want to tell it but obviously you don't leave me any other choice"
she sighed, she didn't expect to have to say that now. It was all happening too fast, but if she wanted to take the boy's trust she had to do it or they would never be able to live together.
Loki: I'm listening to you ..."
he said sitting down again on the sofa next to her, turning around to be able to look at her better, that girl had intrigued and perplexed him right away and was enigmatic even for him.
Y/n:"See Loki .. something similar to yours has happened to me too .. I have powers"
began the speech, showing him her powers by adjusting the two cups through magic.
Y/n:"These powers I obtained by doing an experiment that I should never have done ... I met one of the protector sorcerers of the earth and I used some magical artifacts with my science. But it did not go as I hoped and it all went wrong"
she said taking a break, running her hands through her hair, still not forgiving herself for what she had done
Y/n:"Except that my powers do not go in harmony with my emotions and as soon as I acquired these powers I could not control them. Let's say that if that happens ... I do things that I would not want. I have hurt many people, even to who I loved. When I regained control over myself I was devastated, depressed, anxious that it might happen again. So I locked myself in the house to read some files to fix them. It was then that I came across your files .... I particularly interested. I found all the actions that I also committed ... I saw the frames of the battle, the one with your brother on the Stark Tower. I saw a tear streak down your face before hitting Thor, many times you were undecided. Then your eyes were blue, like the scepter you owned, while now they are green "
she said slowly, it was never pleasant to talk about what she had done. Loki didn't utter a word all the time, listening carefully to her. Now he understood many more things, he understood why she was not afraid of him and he understood above all because she tried to make him feel comfortable despite everything.
Loki: "I can ... I can see photos of that day, of both ..."
he said after a few minutes of silence, the girl's words had struck him a lot. Especially since she had been the only one until then to understand that he had been controlled, but in the end only someone who passed through could understand such a situation.
Y/n:"sure .."
she whispered putting holograms in front of them, looking for the photos of those days. Loki watched them carefully, seeing himself in those conditions still hurt him tremendously, for not being able to resist the tortures of the mad Titan. But when he looked at the photos of the girl he clearly saw that she too was under the control of her own powers, suffocated by that desire for revenge that did not belong to her and to highlight it was her gaze, completely light purple eyes and an evil grin, that even though he didn't know the girl well, he was sure it wasn't like her. It was Loki who made the holograms dissolve, he could no longer look at either of them, things that were not at all pleasant came to his mind and that he had been trying in vain for years to eliminate.
Y/n:"That's why I trust you and I'm not afraid ... I know how it feels and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I accepted to have you here with me because I thought that you could help me, that in some way we could help each other "
she said, slightly raising the sleeve of her shirt to show him the injuries she had inflicted on herself as a punishment, she believed she deserved them for giving in like that, for what she had done. It wasn't something she was proud of, not at all and she just wanted to get over it and move on, but she'd been trying for so long now that she had lost hope. Loki to see those marks, tightened the fabric of his pants, feeling a strange squeeze in his heart. He too hid such marks on his body, which is why he often wore longer boots, to prevent anyone from seeing them in case the fabric of his trousers tore during a fight. He had been through a really dark time, especially after his mother's death, and he still wasn't completely out of it. But the thing that most perplexed him and with a terrible emptiness inside was knowing that someone had been through exactly what he had been through. In short, he had suffered so much for that, cried desperately and guilty; he didn't wish it on anyone, especially someone as innocent as that girl. Loki looked at her with an expression that emanated only suffering, sorrow and sadness, he had no more words and it was not really like him, usually he always had the sentence ready for any eventuality, but in that context it was as if he had even lost his few certainties that had remained, causing it to collapse definitively.
Loki:"I'm sorry ..."
he just whispered, not knowing what to add. He knew perfectly well how it felt and yet he couldn't find how to comfort y/n or even himself. Initially he believed that that girl was hiding something and he was right, but she didn't hide some plans to make fun of him, but only suffering. But while he closed it all behind the irony, the sarcasm and the feigned semblance of power, she did it behind a smile, a laugh and work.
Y/n:"We're not that different ... so just accept the fact that I don't want to hurt you. If you don't trust me then that's fine .. I can't help it, but don't believe I'll ever hurt you, that's all "
she said pulling down the sleeve of her shirt again and looking down, she inevitably went back to thinking about what she had done and blaming herself, as did Loki.
