Summary: Your usual hunt alongside Loki and his men did not go as planned.

"I don't think you are ready for the hunt."

The deadliest glare was given to Loki, but he tried to seem unaffected by his wife's gaze. It's been well over half a year now since you had given birth to your twins, and the half of that since you had made your feelings for each other known. It had also meant that as much as Loki trusted your capabilities of hunting alongside him and his men, there was this underlying worry that will never shake off him.

"I've fought alongside you during the battle with the Kraken, a simple retrieval of medicine for the healers should not be a problem." You snorted, turning you back towards your husband and continued on with preparing everything you would need for the hunt.

Loki wasn't worried about the actual retrieval, it would be easy and somewhat menial that you and he could have done it on your own. But there was always talks about the snow forest. Folklore often depicted the forest to consume any female they would eye. He worries more about you that he needed the number of men to join them for the task--knowing he couldn't change your mind.

"What about the twins?" He tried once more.

"My Love, the twins shall be under their caregivers' care for the time being. Besides, is it not just a day's trip if I remembered correctly." You assured and you were right, it wouldn't take the entire day, but then again, not knowing what lies deep inside the forest especially at the coldest time of the year, Gods know what they would be facing.

"There is really nothing I could say or do to stop you from coming?" He inquired.

"Nothing." You smirked turning to face him once again. Arms gently wrapped around his waist. "And if we finish the task early--we will celebrate any way you would want."

At the offer, the familiar warmth now settled deep in the pits of his stomach.

"Anything?" His own hands falling towards the swells of your ass. Pushing you further into him.

"Anything you want, My Love." You smirked pulling away and turning back to packing the needed weapons and materials for your travel.

Loki could only hope nothing bad happens for their own safety, and more so now with the promise of what was to come after.

In the freezing cold, most of Loki and his warriors wore a thick coat to protect themselves from the bitter winds. You remained in your usual clothing, a thin tunic and slacks. The cold could do nothing to your body and standing in the middle of the group, you radiated as much warmth as your body could let off, one of the few perks of being a Fire Demon in Jotunheim.

"There." Loki had spoke, pointing at the sudden forest that came to view. It was odd, for you, to see a vast and almost healthy forest in the heart of the cold environment of Jotunheim. It almost looked the same as the ones in Midgard when you and your husband had visited Jane Foster's realm.

"Watch your steps, My Queen." Loki's gentle words brought your attention away from the forest and towards the warrior protecting you and your husband. Cold hand holding onto your upper arms as you had ventured deeper into the forest.

Behind the white curtains of snow was an evergreen of trees. The somewhat green hue radiated throughout.

"It's beautiful." You found yourself whispering.

Aside from the usual hunts for meat, this was by far the first time you had been in anywhere outside of the castle in a long time since your pregnancy. Loki had never really had you anywhere near this forest, for reasons that still you were not aware of.
