Kawa was sat in the Karasuno sleeping area talking to Suga and Akaashi, "guys, what am I going to do about my little problem?" he groaned. "Do you have an idea if he has any feelings for you?" Suga asked the Aoba Johsai Captain. "He's straight, obviously" Kawa replied rolling his eyes. "Have you ever seen him show any interest in any girls?" Akaashi queried.
Kawa sat pondering, "No, but he's a mans, man" Akaashi and Suga spluttered in shock. "I thought that you said he was straight?" Akaashi aid looking confused. " He is. I mean he just thinks of sport, studying and hanging out with his friends, all of the time. He's never shown any interest in anyone". "Oh I beg to differ" Akaashi whispered.
"What did you say Akaashi? I couldn' hear you" the brunette asked. "Oh nothing, I still think that you should make him aware of the situation, though. You never know" Akaashi replied. "That's just it Akaashi I do know. I'm just not looking forward to seeing him with someone, romantically but it's gonna happen eventually" Kawa sighed and said goodnight to his two friends and began to walk back to his room.
Iwa had been trying to drift off to sleep for the last 10 minutes, every time he closed his eyes he saw the vision of loveliness that was his best friend. Surely there must be an explanation for what he heard. His friend was into girls, right? He had dated quite a few but they never seemed to last long and the girls always complained about the amount of time he spent playing volleyball and the time he spent with his friends especially Iwaizumi.
Iwa thought back to a few weeks ago when he overheard Kawa's latest ex complaining that he was spending too much time with Iwaizumi. Iwa had felt a little panicked until he heard his friend say, "Iwa chan will always come first and if you can't handle that then we're through". The brunette walked away leaving the girl and Iwa wide eyed, mouths gaping. WHAT !!
The dark haired boy knew that they shared a special bond but he never realised, up until now that his friend obviously had more intense feelings for him than just friendship. Iwa was confused, he knew he loved Kawa but that was just platonically, right? Just as he was going to get up the door started to open. He didn't know why he did it but he pretended to be asleep.
Kawa got ready for bed quietly as he didn't want to wake Iwa. Firstly he wanted to get to gaze upon his features without his friend knowing and secondly he didn't see the appeal in being punched for disturbing his friends slumber.
The brunette sighed and smiled whilst looking closely at his friends face. He couldn't drag his gaze away and he felt an overwhelming urge to kiss the boy. He knew that people thought that Iwa was a little mean to Oikawa and always seemed to be angry but no one saw what he was like when he was with Kawa. He was always there as a shoulder to cry on whenever the brunette needed him and he cared for his friends with a passion.
Iwa was beginning to feel a little uncomfortable so he turned away so that his back was facing Kawa's but still pretended to be asleep. He then heard his friend whisper, "Good night Hajime. I love you" and with that the Captain slept.
